I heard some bad things regarding the cooling on the NB!
Is it really that bad?
What is a good way to cool it without digging deep in my pocket ?

Well I've got an EVGA Classified on the way and am only going to use Air Cooling (Prolimatech Megahalems with push/pull).
What have you heard about the NB temps? I thought it was on the lower level EVGA boards that had problems with temps and the Classified being somewhat better?
I am only planning a 3.8-4 Ghz OC for summer though so I wonder if the stock cooling will be alright for that?

the stock heatsink looks impressive, until you remove it.. lol it really is not much of a heatsink. the PWM's get very hot with the stock cooling config, when the overclock is pushed.... need to put it all on water.

So is it going to be useless for me to overclock the board at all then with the stock heatsink?
What are thresholds for the temps? How how can you go with out it being damaged?
I've never used watercooling so that is no an option for me.
Surely the stock heatsink is good enough for a 3.8-4ghz OC?
Guys, I have downloaded the Classified Menu "Still dind't receive my mobo" I've noticed that the classified uses Lotes Socket 1366 is that correct?
I hate FoxConn socket.

No idea who makes these sockets with more gold, but they are the best ones around.
It should be written on it or on the back plate.

the Vregs get hot when pushed.. I was seeing some scary high temps when I was running high RAM speeds 2150+Mhz and decent CPU clocks 4.5+Ghz, but for lower clocks I think they ran cool enough. lol don't remember. I never had a problem with the north bridge, there is no way to measure the temps in windows as far as I know, I was using my own temp sensors, and it seemed fine, as I remember. putting the Vregs under water dropped their temps about 40C

VREGs @ max frequency stay under 70C for me. Stock heatsink.
Lower frequency can result in a few degrees temperature drop.
Hi everyone. Are any of you having bad VTT voltages read on bios hardware monitor? If I set +0mv bios reads 1.24 (DMM shows 1.20 exactly).
If I set +200mv bios reads 1.48 (DMM shows 1.40 exactly). Also vdimm sets (bios and DMM) +.05 on value selected ...
Anyone???

I have EVGA Classfied E760 and cpu i7 920 D0. So far, I door turned to 4.5Ghz with the following voltage:
Turbo ON
Multiplier 21x
BCLK 215
cpu voltage 1:45
Dram voltage 1.60
time 8-8-8-24 2:8
Cpu cooled by water. Sat Memory Corsair Dominator 3x1GB 1600Mhz. I wonder what I can change that door turned over 4.5Ghz?
guys im throwing my board under a single stage unit, would it be wise to add the full waterblock to the board? or will adding some fans do the job just fine?
