I'm guessing these aren't coming with B3 stepping X58's eh?

If both are on the retail shelves right now, both will have the exact same motherboard in terms of design and revision. Then again as lots of the brothers here have pointed out, the E761 is no longer in retail. EVGA simply removed it.
edit: Ah so if you can still get the E761, please do. The ECP is pretty useful if you intend to mod it and mount it on your casing.

The 759's are done, production stopped !! Well its either the RIIE , or the
P6T7 WS SuperComputer for me ,
Ok, so before everyone blows their top, the 759 Classfied was always intended to be a limited production run hence the introduction of the cheaper, "mainstream" 760 board which is priced basically the same as the R2E against which it is positioned anyway.
Yes, the 759 is EOL but not in that sense. It is not getting replaced by anything, it just simply will not be offered in that form any more but rather the cheaper stripped down version will for the mainstream market.
I personally think that this is the right move because at least now we know that we really did get a limited edition board. I did wonder from the start if this will be another one of those 100K "limited edition" runs like some stuff I've seen before. I think this is a good move on EVGA's part. If NF200 proves to be really useful with the new-gen cards that are coming this board will have some serious resale value while the X58 is around
Those of us who got the 759 still have the top dog and it is now very exclusive

Supposedly the 759 and 760 have different clock generators which is why S3 sleep mode works on the 759, doesn't work right on the 760. I have only the 760, so I can't look on the 759 and report the P/N for 759 clock gen. Can somebody do a visual on the 759 and tell us what CG chip is being used? If they are really different, I need to switch to the 759 pronto, the return window on this 760 closes May 28.

So iv HAD a 4025.0 Mhz overclock, with HT and Turbo enabled. It passed the wPrime 1024M test in under 200 seconds (198.17 is my best)
And at the end of one of those the highest temp reached on any core was 86 degrees Celsius on the first core. Im idling at about 42 degrees
All voltages were at BIOS stock settings, which i was pretty pleased that i didnt need to increase them to get this clock.
The reason im using the past tense is that i have been running this build for weeks on my desk out of a case and naked, completly stable without a single BSOD.... however i have now put the computer in its Case (a coolermaster cosmos s black label) and it initially would BSOD with windows boot....
i dropped the frequency to 160*22, and voila, it works again.... as i started to overclock it again in an attempt to get back to 175*22, i had alot more difficulty, i had to increase the CPU VCORE to around 1.35 and the CPU VTT to +350 just to get it to boot to windows at 173*22, but then it would BSOD within seconds of starting prime...
i could probably keep working and increasing voltages and stuff to try and get it stable again at 175 or close to it, however i want to know why it suddenly doesnt overclock as well as it did, when all i have done it put it in a case.... where the temps would be lower than on my bench as there are all the case fans blowing air directly onto parts of the MB that were otherwise passively cooled on my desk
as far as i can tell the only things that have changed are
- its now in a case
- the PSU is upside down (due to the cosmos design)
- an extra modular molex cable is being used for case fans
- everything is now virticle instead of laying flat...
Thanks

got mine and was bad. During post it only showed 4 ghz of ram while 6 installed. It would not clock any higher than 190 bclk on with my DO 920. Sending back to newegg tomorrow.

In my case Uncore is not dropping but I just cannot boot past a certain multiplier away from 2:1.
Basically, if I have DRAM running at 1600MHz (8x multiplier), I can do Uncore at 16x, 17x, and maybe, just maybe 18x will occasionally POST. Beyond that I cannot POST and loop F3/68 codes at POST. Same thing goes for 2000MHz DRAM as reported by other people using 10x multiplier. Uncore can be set at 20x, 21x, and maybe, just maybe at 22x. Beyond that is F3/68 loop and/or crashing. However, if I say clock the 1600MHz DRAM higher to maybe 1700MHz then I can do higher Uncore based on the higher DRAM clock, but again in the +1x or +2x Uncore multiplier from base 2:1 ratio of Uncore to DRAM. It is as though Uncore is only scaling with faster DRAM and you cannot clock it independently. The i7 940 I had that was a C0 chip would clock Uncore without any issues well past 2:1 ratio to the exact same 1600MHz DRAM (highest stable I tested was around 4.3GHz Uncore, bootable around 4.6GHz Uncore I believe). Again, this is using the exact same DRAM.
VTT/DRAM/PLL/core, etc. voltages do nothing to change this situation. I can crank them as high up as possible or as low as possible with the exact same results.

can anyone post a
4.4ghz -4.6ghz dram 2100mhz -2200mhz stable..C7 or C8 or C9 etc
aka linx 50 runs or prime 95 largefft custom 5.4gb 2 hours.
ty
taking some time on the new wc setup i am planning for this board.
before that would like to know whether is this possible or not on this board
like to see high cpu speed with high dram speeds.
Some of my classified action :
nice
prime95 large fft 5.4gb stable on the ram ?? say 2 hours
the dfi cant do more than 1 hour stable with linx also same not more than 1 hour
Very nice!!!

Sorry, I was looking at the QPI link, I'll check again.
Since I checked before I've changed the memory from Mushkin at 2:8 to Corsair at 2:10. Now the computer won't boot past 2X plus 1. If I try 22 it just keeps trying to reboot. Could be that I need more VTT but I'm high enough already there.
