I tried to answer this earlier. The #1 thing that affects gaming is the graphics solution you choose. first and foremost, what is your budget? Are you a benchmarking geek? Are you the kind of guy that has to have the newest/best?

If you post a budget, and answer the questions above, it will let us truly give you a good answer....as the answer isnt black and white, and completely depends on the individual.

    Hi.
I need some help here i am a new user of evga cl and not happy with my i7 920 oc
i changed re2 to cl thinking of bclk 220+ but ...
i was able to push my 920 around 219-220 (spi32m) on re2 but on cl max oc is bclk 217(not stable in any way)!!!WEIRD

    for stable 215x21 I need:
    vcore 1.38v
    vtt 1.27v

that's all I need any higher bclk is not stable even with vtt 1.47v and pci-e 110
temps in load are around 60-65 this is very nice batch and strong LC

Better system specs and a filled out BIOS template would help us help you. There are several things, or combinations of things, which could be causing your frustration. Once we have a detailed image of what we are working with, hopefully we can tell you what you need to do.

I had such such a HARD time doing it, I did it 2 days ago. it took like 30 minutes to do it. I had to go in from the bottom of the TRUE and then try to move the clip, kinda bend it, so it would clip into the bottom fin. I did not put the clips through the holes on the TRUE, the metal that holds the fins, but I put the clips through the fins themselves and it is holding very good, no vibration at all. Good luck I was pissed when doing it, I almost gave up.

Im actually kind of embarrased because I used to be at 4.2 stable untill I started getting electrical noises from the board. For the past 2 months or so I went back to stock but never resolved my issues. I think I finally managed to figure it out and will find out when my rma comes in. Now its like almost learning to OC again.

Got a second classified in today from Newegg and it's pcb is warped by over 1cm. Appears new, but no shrinkwrap on box. I have handled hundreds of boards and this is certainly one of the flimsiest and most warped pcbs I've seen. I hesitate to set this board up at all now!

I think so. I am sure it's a great board but since it's for a watercooling setup with a full cover block I want to make sure it's as true as possible. Also found a few bent and loose caps on these so I think they must be returns or refabs.

Before I bother to exchange this board again, can anyone tell me if they had a warped pcb at all?
