Can anyone say if the Corsair AX1200 PSU works fine with this board? Thinking of adding another upgrade, and a new PSU will be needed. I know I had a PSU/mobo incompatibility before, so I would just like the check.

Otherwise, I would be interested to hear what other single rail, 1200W, gold rated modular PSU's have been working with this board

I was wondering if anybody with a 760 Classy has had any sub zero (-30 to -40C) coldboot failures with bloomfield cpus (my 950 goes straight to FF on switch on.....works fine on water)

I was just wondering if it was a known problem...........I have searched the forum but nothing shows up. also had a look at the overclocking forums.

No trouble with a 980x at any temp.

Depends on the certain cpu used^^ My 950 has no problems down to -100°C with the E759, but beyond that I have to let it warm up a bit to get it started. It's "FF" as well then.

got a 975ee with a evga 4 way sli mobo - now the mobo is on stock bios - i need to know which is the latest bios - and do we flash it like we flash the bios on the asus via simple usb dongle .

also can some please give a run down for a 4.4 - 4.5ghz oc - as i am not used to the bios of evga , acustomed to asus bios .

if some one can give details as to what setings to change in the bios etc .

rams are 12gb muskin , 6 sticks of 2gb at 6-8-6-24 . 1600mhz .

BIOS is 44 I think Data:01/13/2010. Never tried newer one, but as I know the new ones are better for gulftown and worse for bloomfield. That one is OK for me. I`m flashing it like a video card BIOS using bootable flash with DOS.
Don't know actually what you are asking about. Don't expect 4.6Ghz or above to be stable if you want to bench that's OK. Your chip has unlocked multi so I really can't see where the problem is?? Overclocking an unlocked chip must be very easy. No one is going to tell you what exactly to change, the thread is big read it, try some settings and if there are questions then ask. Also these 6x2GB can be a problem during overclocking and I guess you will need more VTT to get them stable, never tried 12GB on Evga actually cause I don't need that much memory and I'm not using my second kit.

also which is the best stable bios for this motherboard--as i think its on stock .

what cooling are you using?
note that get bloomfield CPUs stable at 4.6 GHz when air cooled is quite difficult if not impossible.
if you are looking for a DU setup, set it at 4 or 4.2 GHz with VCORE 1.2/1.3 (the other settings to use are what you see below, except for the CPU multiplier).
if you just want to have some fun keep using the template you see below and bump the CPU multiplier.
also, when doing this kind of stuff I would put a fan blowing on the CPU PWM and northbridge heatsink and another one blowing on the RAM.
they tend to get rather hot.

Hi Guys,
Can you tell me which is the best bios for bloomfield on Classified 3 E770?. Into the EVGA download section there is only two bioses 82 and 83, but I found 74, 77, 78, 80 and 81. Can someone who played with them to tell me which is the best for bloomfield (OC, temperature, etc) or I myself will have to find it .

Hey guys can I ask what were the mods required on E762 rev.1.0 so it can run i7 970's turbo and work with Xeon Westmere like X5650? I have i7 970 and turbo doesn't work, also I wanna try one X5650 but I doubt it's gonna work without the hardware mod.
