Oh great, i am about to order my new system parts (920/Classified/Mushkin) and have a Tagan 1100 sitting in the case... .
I didn't find this post on the EVGA forum - any more info available about the 'hit and miss' ? Well, before i have to replace my new PSU, i'll get another mainboard .

Yeah, my Ci7 920 is LinX stable on AIR at 4200 MHz without TURBO ... but Vcore is pretty high ... 1,5V ...

Only one problem i have - cannot break 210 MHz BCLK ... i tryed everything but no succes ...

Same here, 210 is max BCLK...
I have 759 vers.

I can boot with ~215 BCLK but the max I got so far with E-llet was ~223. More than that and my machine got totally unstable and BSOD

Yeap, pcie up to ~115. QPI compensation to less, don't remember the other configs.

Problem is right now is kinda hot in here so I can't do a good suicide test. I was also trying with the 21 multi only, I'll try with a low multi and see what happens.

Thanks . I'll try it. I have to import the mainboard half around mother earth - so if i can't get any more info soon, it's a Bloodrage (which isn't a bad choice either me thinks).

I needed cold on the cpu to break it, x15 it went up to 258 and was 3dstable under the SS

My X58 SLI Classified (760) arrived tonight. Ripped it open only to see that EVGA dropped the damn ECP. Granted you can buy it for $20 but that still sucks. The board does look nice.

I flashed my 760 with that bios I the only test I was able to run was my signature oc (24/7) that was 10x Linx stable and now it's no more

I'll do a complete test this weekend but what I can say is that I saw some different bios options (not on the OC part).

I was able to boot up to 215 bclk as I said before, I'll see if I can do it at 220 or more.

what bios are you using Viper? i can boot 220 with bios618 havent tried higher. I booted my cpu on my rampage gene 226bclk.....

With bios 610 (I guess) I was able to boot from bios ~215. The new bios I'm using now is the one The_Game posted above:

Is it impossible to make a GeFroce 6800 PCI-E GPU run on the classified mb?
When i try this it just crashes after booting into windows

Well you can boot 226 with R2G, but can you do it with the classified? That`s the question is this a CPU limit or the mobo and we have to wait for better BIOS able to boot more than 220bclk...

2 or 3 last bios I don't remember aimed to make that possible, but all of them failed

It seems its a mobo limit . Too bad for that great board. I hope that evga will fix that with future BIOS, because it can be a limit for gulftown...
