    GA-890GPA Raid help

I am trying to finish off a virgin build, and am having issues with building a raid array.

I have the SB850 RAID enabled, two brand new F3's hooked up, and the SB850 Raid bios doesn't do anything.

I select option 2 to build an array in the raid bios, but its like the screen just refreshes. Any clues as to what that means? It wont take me to the screen to build an array.

    Hmm...it's in the manual.

I know for a fact that RAID works, I use it.

I've read on Newegg that F3 drives doesn't work on this board with the SB850 controller. It's a shame, 'cause I bought two boards, and I have 2 Samsungs 1TB F3
Can you test it as AHCI or IDE?

Maybe the problem is with the controller set to RAID. Also, try different BIOSes, it must be a BIOS problem.

Edit: I know setting it to AHCI or IDE won't solve your problem, but I'll really appreciate if you test it

Alright, the firmware update worked. SB850 Sata 3 controller works fine with Samsung F3's provided the firmware update is for your HD. Apparently one of the larger capacity models doesn't have new firmware yet. I have the 500GB F3's.
