from Koolance - or someone that is used to helping people getting special stuff to their country...

it should only cost you 200-205 USD to get a Koolance pot mailed to Indonesia... so if you have a friend in the states who is helpful I would hit them up!

    price drop

They should change the name to Koolace CPU-Dry_Ice Evaporator due to it's performance on LN2.

    Price drop to $129

I'm still looking for a used Dragon F1 to buy.

Check it, Rev2! I've spent the last couple days playing with this pot on dry ice and LN2. Review will be available later next week but let's just say my F1EE is nervous.

hmmm threading, where in the world did they get that idea from.

What this industry needs is more duplication, less innovation.

Glad i'm not the only one that noticed, lets not even calculate the internal surface area in their previous gpu pot to say a tek 9.......

It's like avoiding plagerism. If you reword it or change the order of the words it's "ok"

I find their release rather ironic and rather contradictory to an email I have in my inbox

Anyone care to see it? I will of course edit some details out.

Even more ironic they call it rev 2 when it obviously has none of the traits of rev 1......looks like a rev 2 of other designs out there.

Heh, maybe they figured out that there wasn't a big enough market demand based on the former revisions design and performance on LN2

So I wonder where they got the idea to thread the holes from... thats pretty bad...

Is there a review out there where credit is given ?

I know where they got there main source of input now.........to bad that person was privy to a NDA presentation and basically violated that NDA.

Are you saying its bad that they threaded the holes or didn't give credit where it was due? If you're saying that it's bad that they threaded the holes, can you elaborate why?

    Threaded holes=good.
When someone shares their ideas on the open internet to better the community and a manufacturer decides to "borrow" those ideas=BAD

Ahhh ok, I see now. I wasn't trying to continue the discussion of politics, just wondering about the difference in performance. Thanks for info though

I think my review goes live tomorrow. Will link when I get word on the date. Mostly just videos showing the pot on dry ice and LN2.

Seriously? You think threading holes to create additional surface area is a creative idea? That is like claiming that a pneumatic tire is a different idea versus the wooden wheel.

Let's see.. we need more surface area. We have a machine shop available. We can..
    1) bead blast to dimple the material
    2) thread everything to ridge the material

Get over it, Koolance is pulling all information available in order to advance their designs. Is there a patent on threading holes?

My w3570 has a sick nasty coldbug, between -88C and -100C depending on the benchmark. This pot is a little lighter than the F1EE I normally use however I never overpoured. The F1EE spoiled everyone, a monkey can get WRs on it. This pot is a killer dry ice and LN2 pot, coldbug or no coldbug. Holds my w3570 to 5325 through Vantage CPU test and 5550 through 3D05 game tests. Wait for more feedback before judging the pot. Before I used the F1EE I thought it would be terrible from the seeming lack of surface area

The Tek9 issue I believe was due to the involvement of V2-V3, don't quote me on that. I think he was their "adviser" for it. Once again, don't quote me on that but that is the rumor I heard from someone NOT at Koolance.

It is called Rev2 so customers can tell the difference between the Rev1 and the Rev2 while still giving Koolance the chance to keep the CPU-LN2 name. Would you rather they just call them all CPU-LN2s? Or maybe CPU-LN2-FTW-OMGWTFBBQ?

Check the date on that email. That is half a year ago, just after the launch of the original CPU-LN2. Of course at the time they weren't looking into revising the pot, they were still waiting on feedback on the original CPU-LN2.

Clearly you have a bone to pick with Koolance. Love it or hate it but Koolance has a much larger budget than Kingpincooling.com or ln2cooling.com and will through the savings in mass production out-earn them on each pot. This same thing happened to water blocks years ago when we went from milling our own blocks to companies spewing out thousands of blocks. Move with the times or get run over.
