    Fun with The Torture Rack

    A new project ...

Box has been hiding in my closet for quite some time:

Very neatly wrapped ... "oh, my own special dust free gloves."

    Instructions - concise!

Each panel is nicely covered with protective paper

    Assembled

    Side View

    More to come later.

I am still not sold on the DD rack. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Let's see what you can do with it.

I'm not 100% sold, either. This was an impulse buy last year, but I can't decide which case I'm using next, so thought this was a good time to try it out. This is going to be a bit of a fun/experimental build - so I'm not at all sure how it's going to turn out

That means it'll probably turn out well. Not having a plan can be the best plan...if the plan is to enjoy yourself

    Looking forward to it.

well i feel theres only 1 way you can build a rack.

    And thats RAID style.

the thing is how much of it is she gonna replicate, or is she gonna do it the real RAID style with D5's instead of those 2 bongs.

im recomending that you, carbon copy miyuki down to the QD's and make it your debug station/second system when you need it.

Thanks, NaeKuh. No need to take the pic down - it's a good reference for anyone interested in Torture Racks.

Won't be going quite as GIGANTIC as the RAID version. Also using some parts on hand, so we'll just have to see how it turns out

Should make some progress as the week moves on.

lol im not gonna spoil your thread with my amature pictures... compared to your professional ones. :P

Shazza some advice tho, a rack looks absolutely jaw breaking when you keep it symeterical.

When you lose symetry tho, it looks absolutely horrible.

Thanks for the tips, NaeKuh ... I agree symmetry is the way to go.

    Just a small update ...

Sold my Danger Den 4870X2 water blocks, loved 'em, but wanted nickel (yes, I am shallow). But, they are going to a good home.

This acrylic is going to be a PITA to keep dust free, even with the white glove treatment ... after sitting out just one day:

Ooooh I love that block - I am definately keen to see where this goes in terms of look

    * EDIT: Skinnee just brought to my attention that the price of the DD rack has gone up by $10 in the last week - I guess they are preparing themselves for the onslaught of people buying these once you are done Shazza

    Another build shazza!

Is that 3 now in quick succession?
I'm sure you'll do the torture rack justice, and i agree that RAID's is the best example so far.

P.S. you got any pics of you LiLi A20 build?
