    Mushkin Redline

A bit of old news, but since no one has posted this yet, I'll go ahead and do so.

Mushkin has now revealed two fresh additions to its Redline memory series, the '998691' and '998692' triple channel DDR3 kits. Both kits offer 6GB of RAM via three 2GB modules that work at 1600 MHz with 6-7-6-18 timings and 1.65V, and are differentiated by the cooling solutions used - the '998691' trio is equipped with Mushkin's 'usual' heatspeaders, while the '998692' can brag with having Ascent spreaders. The Ascent solution features two 123mm x 25mm liquid filled copper vapor chambers encased on the outer dimensions by high conductivity 6063 aluminum alloy.

Both triple channel kits are to be offered with a lifetime warranty.
Anyone have any experience with these? I know the DDR and DDR2 Redline modules were extremely good overclockers.

Reviews are on the way, I don't want to spoil it for the reviewers, but here's a peak at what these sticks can do.

Are you complaining? We could raise the price if you think they're too inexpensive.

I don't have a set for testing yet, should be reviews soon.
2100+ should be possible, if your Uncore can keep up.

As for ICs, I am a mushroom

I received mine a while back, but I had a problem with my motherboard. Just got back my RMA motherboard. So far this ram seems pretty good. Much better than either one of my Kingston hyper x's.
    I have 8 hour prime stable at 2110 Mhz 1.65v 8-8-7-24

I need to do a lot more testing, but initial result. 2200 mhz 1.65 V

You can see also my review of Mushkin 998691 and Mushkin 998687 (dated 10.04.2009), with pics of the naked chips: http://lab501.ro/memorii-stocare/mus...-in-trichannel. Looking forward to test the new Mushkin 998707 very soon !

So is the general consensus that Muskin is a good company with reliable product? Definitely impressed by the spec/price ratio and how low some of the rated timings are.

I am no fanboy of Mushkin. lol I have, and will use several different manufacturers. I have bought maybe 10 sets of ram from Mushkin in my lifetime. All have done their rated spec, and not had a bad stick yet.. I can't say the same about a few other companies. lol

Prime 95 blend, going right now, 2170Mhz @ stock timings and volatge, CPU @ 4.55Ghz.. very happy so far.! Will post if it passes.

I just picked up a kit of the 998692 because they were on sale at the egg. I cannot get them stable beyond stock clocks though (been using LinX to check stability). I thought I was fairly close to having something at the following:

I have a C0 that can hit 4GHZ, but I turned it back to stock to try and test the ram. I have a Gigabyte UD5 and the only voltages I adjusted were the QPI/VTT to 1.5175 and the memory to 1.76. If anyone could help me get beyond stock with these I would appreciate it.
