In Poland there's online contest in Spi 16M, clock is limited to 4200MHz, Msi P4x board is obligatory and that's my main problem I need to borrow one from somewhere

I SOOO don't like the cpu frequency limitation ... especially in online competitions. I forsee big problems with people who run the benchmark at higher core frequencies and then downclock for the screenshot :-/

No way to judge if a score is considered to be valid. Online qualification with fixed speed is impossible.

Hey guy : update : after a discussion with massman on MSN i think that frequency limitation is at the end not a good move for Online QF.

here are the country 'running' in this competition :

    France
    Germany
    Greece
    Italy
    Netherlands
    Sweden
    Finland
    Denmark
    Norway
    Poland
    Russia
    Turkey
    Ukraine

Turkey and Ukraine have 'assigned team' that mean there'll not have any qualification -> direct flight to EU final.

I've asked for the following countries to be 'involved' BUT for EVERY Guys in thos listed countries, PLEASE get in touch with you LOCAL MSI branch !

I can help these country organising the Online QF process (no problem it's just a webpage ).

Ask for Online QF, if NOT possible (budget or anything else...) just tell them to "assign" a team from this country (regarding hwbot classement per example.)

Belgium (massman is checking that already.)
    Switzerland (no one checking atm)
Romania (i've asked montru to check with them)
Spain & Portugal (Someone need to ask them)
UK (i'll check with r1ch to do so )

So Finland is on the list.. Good!

But, I have no idea what MSI is playing here. They should have contact Sampsa and organize Finnish qualifications through him. Now we have very little info and just pure guesses what is going to happen.
I hope everything will be clear soon.

For online comp 16M is good and without MHz limitations. My suggestion is: MSI motherboard only / No other MSI parts needed / NO ES CPU's.
You are as good as your samples are!

Agreed SF3D, i think even 2001 (although its great test) would be rather difficult to be judged. No limit/ES 16M would be nice. Wil there be 1 group of people looking at all results or is that up to each countries MSI office?

Will there be any platform or cooling restrictions for the QF

Actually i've allowed ES CPU if the retail version is on sell in stores by the 1 june.

People that will check the scores are from the organisation website not MSI.

No cooling restriction, you MUST have a MSI MB but VGA /RAM /cooling is free !

    Hey all!

Been a while since I posted anything here, but since word is already getting out regarding the new MOA I have to react some as well
For these countries I'm monitoring progress in the qualifiers:
    Greece
Italy (Italy will also appoint OC'er and send directly to finals, no qualifiers)
    Netherlands
    Sweden
    Finland
    Denmark
    Norway

These countries will have a slightly different setup then the French qualifiers, i will inform you regarding those in a couple of days when everything is 100% final. If you have no idea how the qualifiers for your country will be arranged i recommend to contact your local MSI contact, he or she should be able to help on this. Good luck all!

I was told by MSI there will definitely be US online qualifier. There should be an official website up shortly, I'll post more info as I have it available. But from what MSI north america have told me, this seems pretty definite. I'd quote the email but I'm on my iPhone at the moment

I'm thinking the same as SF3D; NordicHardware held the qualifiers last year, we haven't heard anything. I told our chief editor to see what's what, I hope we get to arrange it again. This time I'll compete, I promise you that.
    I KNOW MASSMAN DISLIKES YOU.
