Hop in your canoe, go across they bay and do something with those ECS Black version boards. I figure they need something done to catch people's attention.

Or wait, I think the HQ's still in Taiwan. You won't even need to use the canoe.

You might even be able to improve on the color schemes:

(Alright, I admit, that board is old, but you could tell them that mounting components to the PCB isn't necessarily a bad thing.)

What a shame, I wish you the best. I totally agree with UtNorris and others. They dont know what they are losing. Its just a matter of time before your next journey. We all know no matter what you choose you will be an assett to the company you choose. Best of luck and hope to see you soon

thanks man, yeah ill see if they are interested, oskar wu is a nice guy and it would be interesting to work with him... i always liked dfi boards, yet their support and boards could need some polishing off... so i think i could fit in there, i just dont know if they are interested...

mhhh, lets just say it was a constant uphill battle to get things done... their company structure isnt exactly perfect for a fast ttm, innovative highend product...

hmmm my advice to you, dont go with the flow, keep your own standards up, keep pushing, try every possible option to get your goal, and on the side, look for other opportunities where you might be appreciated more

well they are cutting down qf, its not like i had a choice... i got warned before that this "might" happen but decided to try and pull this through, something i promised when foxconn originally hired me in june last year...

    Saaya,
You are one of the reasons I went with the Blood Rage and gave Foxconn a shot. I think it will be a serious loss for them that you are leaving and shutting QF down. Big companies make a lot of short sighted decisions and this is a major one. Just when they started to make headway into the enthusiasts market they decide to jump ship. It's a loss for them and the consumer. I wish you the best and I am sure you will land on your feet doing something you want to do and enjoy. Thank you for all your hard work, you will surely be missed.
well the firmware works but not all features work, and since they never tested it thoroughly theres a chance that a combination of settings or some scenarios might result in the panel setting wrong voltages and possibly killing some hw... very unlikely, but as a company they cant release it without propper full testing...

What about J&W Sascha? They're not well known but they've showed there interest in overclocking in a few motherboards recently. It could be a big challenge for a guy like you.

Thanks saaya for your great support and all you did for me and my team. I always enjoyed it to meet you, especially G|C last year was pure fun.

I hope that you can find a company where your profile fits in and where you can achieve your goals - hopefully for a much longer period of time.

    Are you sure?

Foxconn's "EVGA x58 Classified" is a great mobo.

They actually had two the last time I checked, and they didn't look awful designwise. I assume their "Black" line is aimed at enthusiasts, so there's work to be done for you.

im not sure what to think of them... a lot of their boards are very very very cheap copies of other designs, though some are interesting... like their below atx series

so yeah, maybe i should check them out... im not sure how serious other board makers are about comitting to the enthusiasts though, in these times...

Saaya, if you're still searching for a new, fresh start, take a look at ASRock. I always liked their boards, but one always had a feeling that the boards were finished 95%. You could start a new affordable OC line of boards and fill that 5% gap.

    Just my 2 cents

    Best Regards,
    Niko
