AM3 cpu performance across 3 motherboards comparison

im gonna be testing cpu performane on the 3 mb that i have

test setup
asus m4a79-t
msi gd-70
giga ud5p

kingston 3x1gig ddr 2000
wd raptorx 150 gb
1 4870x2
1200watt coolmax psu
win xp sp2
9.1 cats


latest bios available to me at the time of testing although i wil rerun test in the future with different bios's

im going to test 3.7 ghz cpu and 3 different nb speeds

memory timing will be set @ 7-7-7-21-33 across all three boards so all settings will be the same.

Awesome idea MSI. I think it's really going to come down to the nitty gritty cause these 3 motherboards are pretty close in comparison.

3.7GHz was the max stable OC air on this Giga MB?

nah i knew i was gonna run high nb so i chose that speed to keep heat in check which still was a issue for the last tests

What AM3 chip do you have - ES? do you know if it is 945 or 955?
