Quick question I'm looking at picking one of these cases up because of your and Shazza Builds, what is the dimensions of the slot for the stock fan controller? It obviously looks larger then just your standard 5.25 drive. Thanks

I got some more work done today. I wanted to get more done, but I had to pick up my son early today.

I got the windowed side panel and mesh installed. I also added some flat black trim around the vents to set things off a bit.

    Another shot of the mesh.

Radiators are mounted. The push pins take a little getting used too.

Here is how I am hooking the fans to Ch. 1 of my controller. I still need to sleeve more wires.

There wont be a lot of fans in the case so I want to make sure the ram has some airflow.

Looking real nice! Giving me inspiration for my build coming up. I just order my case today....so if you don't mind me asking what did you use for the front plate there for the fan controller?

what did you use for the front plate there for the fan controller
The stock acrylic piece that was there to begin with. I filled in the holes and re-glued it back into place. I used the supplied faceplate for the controller as a template.

I really like the look of that mesh backing on the radiator cut out. Is that the modders mesh from MNPC Tech?

Actually its the stock mesh that used to be on the window. Im sure that its about the same. A member on here is sending me thier spare mesh panel so I can finish the other side.

I think I am going to scrap the Fuzion v1 for something else. I am kicking myself in the butt for not grabbing the GTZ when it was on sale at Frozen. I am eyeing the Heat Killer 3.0 LT, I have read only good things about it. Just wish it wasnt 60 bucks. What about the EK Supreme LT?

i was just wondering about the window did you fasten it with the screw holes left by the mesh panels or did you tape it on?

I ordered the replacment window throgh performance pc. Its the same as a V2000. I got the smoked one with no holes, but you can get it with holes pre cut. Mounts to panel with stock hardware.

Good progress, Jonni! You're getting way ahead of me, but the good news is, I can cheat off of the good stuff you're doing

Or at least you can see what not to do....

I think a lot of us are waiting for your return so you can get to work. I will hopefully be about done with mine by the time your project gets going.

I am really not looking forward to sleeving my psu. I have a feeling something is going to get screwed. Is it possible to sleeve one wire at a time on the 24pin? It would really give me less chances to mix up a wire.

Also I have an extra wire on my sata power cables. There are 2 black, yellow, red, and orange in the middle. I want to configure the connectors but I dont know whats up with that orage wire.

The build is on hold until Monday at least. I have to make a trip to Las Vegas.....not really for fun. My wife's family lives there and thats where my Ortho doc is.

I also had one of my scythe fans die on me. It was a 1600rpm slipstream. I have read that the S Flex fans are better so I order 3 Scythe SFF21G 75cfm. They run on about half of the amps of the slipstreams which will be good for my controller. I should be able to start actually putting parts in the case soon.

I am still procrastinating on sleeving the psu. I think that its what is going to make it or break it for me. If I dont I will regret it. Any volunteers that need some extra sleeving practice? LOL

Yeah, did you see that Frozen is selling a sleeved 24pin extender for like 70 bucks....lol... I really hope that some poor sap doesnt fall for that. Not that there is anything wrong with frozen's quality or service, it just seems a little pricey.

Is this going too far? I am thinking about expanding my loop and running the 320 on the rear in seriers before my 4870's.

I am not huge on external rad, but I think the tubing would be sorta cool once I have dark blue coolant running through it.

Nevermind how beat up that one is. It is just a temp.

Finally got all my blocks in, now all I am waiting for is my second 4870. Should be here today. I have run some tubing and things are finally getting together. One wierd thing though is I have visible blue uv die from dtek and when I put it under the black light it shows up green.

The case is together and everything is inside. Now, I know the one thing everyone is going to say...... No, I did not sleeve my psu. It really would make a huge difference if I did, but I am not sure how long this psu will be in there. Its probably a little under powered for anything in the future, and it will be replaced with a fully sleeved unit in the future. There are a few things I would have liked to do and might in the future. I can say that this is by far the best looking case/system I have ever put together. Overall, I am very pleased with how everything looks.

Enjoy this pictures and let me know what you guys think.

I have it all fired up and I am sort of dissapointed with the temps. Stock its idling at 27-30C thats down about 9 or 10C and 45C loaded. Bios reports it as 19C. I am using coretemp. My gpus both are running about 35C idles and loaded about 48C. Does this sound right? I was hoping for some lower temps. My ambient is about 74F so its not very hot in my room.

the only way you can know is to fire up the load and see what your delta is - I know that with my rad sandwich the idle was pretty high, but my delta was like nothing, needless to say I used the headroom to overclock further with high voltage
