The prior BIOS settings I posted were based on a 20x CPU multiplier.

The settings I came up for a 19x CPU multipler (below) are completly different. For example, at 20x, my BCLK wall was around 205. At 19x, the wall is much higher at 224. I was also able to drop VDIMM to 1.65 (i.e., VTT/VDIMM ratio different).

I can't get CAS 6 with this overclock, but other memory timings can probably be tightened.

I've settled on BCLK 222, although BCLK 223 passed LinX large memory.

    Code:

Having a strange problem.. was using P06 BIOS and updated to P09. (problem occurred in both BIOS)
When using sata mode = IDE the system will not accept a BCLK higher than about 160 (sporadically it will work at ~170).. the sytem will hang right after post, with the error code sitting at 8F or 94, seemingly random

but when setting it to RAID or AHCI mode it will boot without problem.

Using mushkin blackline 1600 set to default timings and x8 mem mult. 1.65-1.7 v
    i7 920

EDIT: whoops meant to post this in the other thread.

Have you tried my favorite "solution for everything" .. tRFC increasing (try 92 for example).

Not sure if its random or not.. but it seems that BloodRage has more than average amount of problems with Mushkins memory.. (tough.. not only mobo that has problem with them).

Also can be problem with your HDD..

New system is ready and running . I reached what i hoped for without a sweat - 21x200 at 64 C (HK Rev3 and a Xchanger 480). I leave it there for now as 24/7 setup.

One problem i have though at first boot (P09) - it shows 133 Bclock and goes into save mode. I have to access the BIOS and save the settings again to boot normal. The system is perfectly stable and a Windows restart behaves like it should. Not sure if i have a setting wrong or if this is a BIOS bug ? Any tips would be highly appreciated.

Thanks for your replies. Yeah, happens only when the PC is shut down completely. Windows restart always works, saving BIOS (with the same settings) always works. Cold bug is probably not the correct description at 28 C ?

My RAM appear to be perfectly fine - no errors whatsoever.

I am hoping for some help for you guys. This might be off slightly because I am doing this from work. I have gotten as high as 4.44GHz with turbo on. I am shooting for a benchable 4.5GHz+, not 24/7 specs. If you guys can help out it would be greatly appreciated. Thx in advance.

It means that PC was cold (shuted down for longer period of time) before. Not related with cold itself. Its bit wierd.. seems like corrupt BIOS? Have you tried to reflash it? Btw. post this questions in main thread pls (Eg. under Foxconn - Quantum Force) this thread is dedicated to sharing BIOS settings, not questions/answers.

    Foxconn Bloodrage BIOS P09

I have the same base components as Pelo911, diff batch processor.
Im at 200bclk and it primes just fine @ 4.2. VTT I had to add 220mv or it wouldn't boot. I think the processor is fine, but my mem modules are acting finicky. I have them running at 2005mhz. Ive tried 7-7-7-20, 7-8-7-20, 8-8-8-20,8-8-8-21, 8-8-8-24, and even 9-9-9-24. These are my settings at the moment

    Stable so far

Quick update. Got the clocks to work. (4.2 ghz cpu, 2005mhz 7-7-7-20 mem)
I was using +40mv at first, so I increased it until the bluescreens stopped. They stopped at +120mv. The mem is holding strong at tight timings with 1.67v in bios, but it is really like 1.69 in windows.
All I had time to do this morning was run a couple benchmarks and go to work.

I ran Vantage with gpu clocked at 738 core, 1512 shaders, and 1224 mem (got a bad one : /) and scored 16099 with physics on gpu
I also tested 3dm06 with same settings and scored 21759.

Ill try and post pictures (when I figure out how) of my rig. It's kinda just mocked up, zip tied and very industrial right now : /
Ran out of coolant, so I couldn't quite redo all my tubing. I need longer & better tubing to stop the kinks.

this is for 24/7. i passed 4 hrs of the intel burn in test. have linx but never used it for long periods of time... keep in mind every cpu, mobo, ram, and psu are different. you may have to play with the settings for awhile till you get it. also keep in mind this is on water... not the self contained systems but the custom kits.

Anyone running this board still? Preferably with Dom GTS 2000mhz sticks. I just setup my system and I'm a total newb to all the I7 overclocking stuff. All this vtt and bclk etc. The only intel chip I've ever played with was a E8400 was successful in reaching 4.2 with it, but this bios is completely different and its been right at a year since I played around in a bios to begin with let alone an intel setup let alone i7. :-(

I have tried 103MHz on pci-e bus and changing CPU QPI Latency to 100 but no boot up past 215 bclk. 214 boot at 1.56v but usb items start flickering. Keep in mind, I am not looking for stable settings just enough to run 3DMark Vatage and 06. Thx.
Tried your settings although I reached 4.4 something ghz windows boot stable although it fails the intel burn test on max because I stop it due to the cores spiking to 92C on a CM V8 I still need parts for my water loop. :-( Although I will have the same block as you when I get powdercoating straightened out. Two of the parts were powdered red. I'm taking the Powder coater to court though LOL Did a terrible job as seen in my work log in my sig.

So back to the drawing board. I was hoping to get close to 4.5 on air stable as this chip is said to be a 4.7ghz+ chip on mild water. What ever mild water means. I can't get the guy to pm me back now after he got my money. LOL At least the chip works.

I can set it at 220 x20 which is 21 with it locked with cxe turned off idle 45c windows bootable at 4621.4 MHz mem @ 1761MHz vcore 1.552 Wish I could cool it more with this CM V8 its turned to max though :-( DAMN THE LUCK. Not enough volts somewhere though I just tryed the standard test and it locked up on me. :-(
