Havenīt noticed that IOH.. try VTT same as before, and IOH on default level.. (at 200 BCLK I havenīt noticed any improvement with increasing IOH voltage.. used that on 210+ BCLK). Btw. I need +200mV VTT for having it stable, you have D0 which should be lower, but maybe not too much.. try those +100mV you tried and maybe more (up to +200mV). 1.3V means you probably run on default voltage.. try increase of +50mV. Which should give you 1.35V on load.. and can be more stable. But also much more hot..

Thanks, mescalamba, I tried +100mv and +50mv vcore( 1.35v load) still got BSOD.
When the temperature up to 80c it start getting turbo throttle and multiple drop to 20.45 when it hit 90c. Also 1.35v load and 90c is way too much than my asus board.

I cleared CMOS and set every voltage options on default except 1.63V for DRAM, fully stable now
    CPU vcore Default
    CPU VTT Default
    IOH vcore 1.10V
    DRAM 1.63V
Seems like this board doesn't like high voltage at all.

See my bios settings on page 3 of this thread, obviously you will need to adjust the memory timmings and speed to suit your ram, but these settings of mine have worked for other too.

My settings were only stable on P06, G25 and P09 bios, other bioses needed more CPU volts.

I saw and looked at that but it was P06 and wasn't sure if it was going to have too much vts for P09 or not, Thanks for clearing that up for me

    thank for your reply.

i want higher VTT but then i need very high voltage on memory, minimal difference is 0.35, but i found that 0.48 difference between memory and VTT makes system much stable. i sometimes system failed to boot with higher VTT and same DRAM voltage (difference 0.40), when i increased Dram voltage it booted and was quite stable... I'll increase CPU amplitude, PLL, IOH 1.1v to 1.3 (i have chipset on stock active cooling...). i'll try to find a way to increase VTT and make system stable.
and yes Command Rate was 1 and tRFC 92
so for Overclocking (not 24/7 setup), G25 is best bios, thats what i wanted to know.

This describes what I'm seeing on my o/c to 4.2. I'll post my BIOS settings when I'm sure they're stable. But yes, a .48 difference between memory and VTT is the best method I've found to stablize my rig. The problem however is the maximum DRAM voltage of 1.65, which limits Vtt to about +40mv in my case (i.e., not much range to play with).

I have a hunch I could squeeze out another 100 MHz if I increased Vtt but maintained the .48 difference. I see you did what I was thinking about doing, increasing DRAM voltage to maintain that .48 difference.

How has it been working out for you? Does anyone else have any other thoughts?

Why is 1.65v the maximum DRAM voltage? If you absolutely must run at 4.2GHz, just increase your VTT and bump up the VDimm to match and keep the .48 difference. It's not going to hurt anything, assuming you have your RAM properly cooled.

That being said though, I only ever run my VDIMM higher than 1.65v when I'm benching.
No need for me to raise it to run a stable 24/7 4.2GHz overclock fortunately, since this system hums along just fine with a .30 difference(VTT=1.37v/VDIMM=1.66v).

Yes, I raised DRAM to 1.70 and popped Vtt to +100 mV and that enabled me to boot Vista at 4.3 (EIST Turbo 21x205) (mem x8 @ 1600) (HT off). Can't pass prime yet, but it always fails at the same test, so I think I'm getting real close to something stable.

My Mushkin redline uses the NON hyper elpida chip, so I'm probably ok up to about 1.75 VDIMM keeping the Vtt/VDIMM ratio < .50. I have memory fans on the sticks plus a high airflow case (CPU and NB on water).

I'm sort of focused on 4.3 as that was my goal going into my build. So, I'll probably keep the memory in the 1.70 - 1.75 for 24/7 operation. I actually use CPU bound software frequently.

BTW, I'm real happy with the Bloodrage board, it seems to getting the most out my "meh" 920 D0 (Vcore default = 1.265) that basically seems to hate life at BCLK 205.

Hi, newbie here :P Looks like I've found BloodRage heaven here!

I have tried several of the shared BIOS settings here with nothing too stable. I am not looking to get to 4.0, I would be happy with a stable, safe, daily OC @ 3.8 and my ram running at 1600 like it is rated to run. I got it to 3.8, but the ram was not at 1600, and I didn't stability test it. I am sitting at 3.0 right now just by upping the FSB to 150. Can someone just get me started in the right direction? Or if anyone has settings like this that would be great too.

Here is my comp as pertaining to oc'ing:
    BloodRage mobo running P08 BIOS
    i7 920 d0 stepping 5 3919A704 batch STOCK COOLER
Corsair Dominator 6GB triple channel 1600

I have the same 3919A704 batch, I've been playing with it for a week now. I personaly am not to excited about the core temps on this batch. But then agian I live in Arizona and my ambient temps in my den are hovering around 29c-30c..

    I'm Prim95'ing 4.02ghz right now at 1.264v

    Turbo: off
    Hyper Threading: off
    blck: 200mhz
    Multiplyer x20
    Vcore +60
    Uncore +40
    Memory 2x (6g 1600mhz ocz gold)
    everything else stock..

Temps are hitting 73-75c. I'll probably down clock it once Prime runs 12 + hours

Like the other have said, your not gonna get far on the stock cooler, so look at getting a new cooler straight away, and also I would flash your bios if I was you, I didnt have any luck on P08, P09, P06 or G25 are the best to date, however G25 is the beta before P09 so I prolly shouldnt bother with that one anymore.

    Notes:

My 920 was supposed to be from a decent batch (3901A257), but when I saw the default Vcore (1.27), I realized I had the unlucky draw (from this batch). So then, how does the BR handle mediocre chips? Quite well!

My goal was to get a stable Speedstep o/c and to otherwise minimize voltages (e.g. I never tested 200mv plus Vtt voltages).

My particular hardware setup seemed to like the difference between DRAM voltage and Vtt to be approximately .48V (but always less than the max .5V recommended difference). Thus, to get more stable overclocks by increasing Vtt I had to increase the DRAM voltage. I settled at DRAM 1.71V, which should not be a problem (although I have memory stick fans plus a high air flow case).

My setup idles at approx. 39 C (26 C ambient) and the NB at 34. Under LinX stress testing, the CPU temp. maxes out at approx. 75 C and Prime at approx. 71 C.

My o/c setting is not good for HT enabled. I had to reduce BCLK to 200 and temperatures maxed out at 82 C (LinX).

My memory (Mushkin Redline Ascent) is rated 6-7-6 at 1600 and I was able to pass Memtest, LinX and Prime (1 hour run) using my o/c, but Crysis Warhead in crossfire mode seemed to like 6-8-6 (I also had to bump up PCIe to 103). Strange yes. There might be another issue lurking here I didn't pick up.

I haven't tried to minimize chipset (NB and SB) voltages yet at 4.3 GHz, so those numbers might be a bit higher than I need.

Sorry everyone for posting another one of these. I just need some help getting prime95 stable. Did the In-place large FFTs test and within a min workers stopped so I ended the program before I got a BSOD. Here are my settings:

Try IOH core at 1.18v or 1.22v.

Also for testing change your memory timings to 8-8-8-24 and see if prime still restarts your pc. I suspect it wont. My BR won't run cas6 above 1550mhz with stability no matter what I do. I get my best performance at 8-8-7-16 or 8-9-8-24, but you'll have to have a play yourself as each setup reacts slightly differently.

    GL .

Problem resolved by going from the initial 20x multi down to 19 while using turbo to get up to 21.
