hi nodo, from what people tell me on the forums g25 is very good for o/c the board, but for 24/7 bios po6 is supposed to be the best bios out so far, so it depends what you want the system for i use mine for a good alround speed for 24/7, at 4 ghz and memory at 1600 the maximum voltage doesnt go much over 1.225 which is the intel recommended max for the Do cpu....(not 1.36 as the co-c1 versions are...hope this helps

I think that those CPU/IOH clock skews are little bit worth nothing.. only help I noticed was at very high FSB (220). Maybe try it without them..

G25 is good.. I had very good results with P06/07 .. running P08 now, not exactly totaly happy from that.. P08 is definetly not better for OCing. But it fixes some bug.. so good if someone experience some bugs..

vCore voltage.. if Im correct, max "safe" from Intel is 1,55V. D0 or C0, doesn't matter.. its just better revision.. CPU is still 45nm, so theres no reason to change voltage..

BTW. I think your tRFC is 92, not Command rate. (you can try higher for higher FSB, but not sure it helps..) and changing PCi-E clock to 103 might help a little bit..

IOH VCCA 1.1V survives 1.3V .. I tried 1.34V and its still working.. helps a little bit in high FSB.

    I see you have VTT only +220mV .. well for BCLK 220 I needed I think +400mV.

If you have chipset on water, it should survive up to 1.7V VTT. Not recommanded on air.. So higher VTT is one way to get more BCLK. Plus you can try adding some QPI PPL voltage (up to 2V).

Yea and definately change CPU amplitude to max .. 1.000 V.

    thank for your reply.

i want higher VTT but then i need very high voltage on memory, minimal difference is 0.35, but i found that 0.48 difference between memory and VTT makes system much stable. i sometimes system failed to boot with higher VTT and same DRAM voltage (difference 0.40), when i increased Dram voltage it booted and was quite stable... I'll increase CPU amplitude, PLL, IOH 1.1v to 1.3 (i have chipset on stock active cooling...). i'll try to find a way to increase VTT and make system stable.
and yes Command Rate was 1 and tRFC 92
so for Overclocking (not 24/7 setup), G25 is best bios, thats what i wanted to know.

I kinda ignore that low limit.. cause.. I understand why its bad to have bigger than 0,5V difference between VTT and vDimm.. but not sure why having some lower limit? I tried VTT same as vDimm.. and my system is still ok.

    VTT is currently on 1.35V
    vDIMM at 1.6V

Everything fine.. if it die.. well, it wasn't fine..

didn't post with higher VTT than 220-240, tried different DRAM voltage's....
    PCI @ 102MHz
    CPU amplitude @ 1.000 V
    IOH VCCA 1.1V @ 1.3V
    PLL @ 2.0v
with this settings couldn't post at BCLK higher than 213
lowering VTT helped posting up to 218MHz, but didn't boot to windows (lost stability)
    somethings wrong with VTT... :|

the only ram that i have heard people talk about having problems with so far is ocz 2000 the cheaper stuff, brilliant ram is dominator gt and 2000 kingston hyperx both with xmp thats the stuff best to go for if you have the bucks...p.s by the way if you are going to pick up your board today check it out first for bent pins, lots of these are around and its the only thing they will not replace the board for...user error...
(by the way your girlfriend looks nice)lol

Stay away from Elpida Hyper chips and you'll be fine. Kinda hard today.. Bloodrage is fine with almost everything, but for OCing some D9JNM based will be best I guess.. (Crucial "Value" 1333 CL9 ones.. for example )

I am also saying hello, new to the Forum. Passion about Bloodrage is awesome here, I fell in love with the thing as soon as I saw it.
Looking to learn from you expert guys how to get this unit OC'd. My first OC was an E8500 on ASUS P5Q, but that was a cake walk compared to what I see here!
I am looking forward to benefiting from the P06 templates here (THANKS)

Thanks to UTNorris for my first P06 OC settings. Not quite at 200 yet, but I'm hoping.

G25 worked well to get the XMP profile on high speed RAM, but I had to find the sweet spot. My CL8 2000Mhz Mushkin goes to CL7@1905MHz 8-)

hi Mescalamba, i have been looking into your thoughts on vtt v cpu voltage, and have found out when i set my board up to factory defaults
there seems to be little difference in cpu v vtt volts wise, the readings i am getting from cpu-z and other software is running the cpu at 2.67
cpu core volts (idle)0.93 under load 1.22
    north bridge = 1.09
and the cpu vtt 1.17 (under Load 1.25)and vdimm 1.60 constant......so by going by the manufacturers settings this should answer a few questions....(hopefully)

Sorry that is not XMP enabled. no worky, but manual set the setting and yea...
As far as stable I run Linx and Prime95 on all four cores and it works.
Just got the HT working too will have to post those settings soon... but need just a little more vcore and had to get vtt to +200mv.

I will run all test, OCCT, PRIME95, for 2hrs. I really dont run past that cause I get no errors but remember I am actively cooling this sucker too.. Coolit Boreas setting under a Heatkiller..

    here's my settings for 220x18 ~ nearly 4ghz

nothing crazy just a low voltage overclock and 15 pass linpack stable(can also do 221x18) with those setttings, memory was kinda out of the way at 1323, but with 6-6-6-14 timings, it pushes more than decent bandwidth

Nice one MK-ULTRA, like the very low voltages, would be interseting to see what you can do with bios P06 at 4 ghz the best i have seen voltage on cpu under max load 1.41, and the memoty running at 1600..
    well done

    hi guys,
got my new D0 (batch 3851A286) and finished my cosmos s rig so I finally could test a bit more today... I used the chart a friend gave me of his stabilised tweaks, and here it is

I actually managed to boot mine until 212 bclk, and went up to 217 in Vista with Aegis... finally went under 9sec @ super pi 1M

I'm using P06 bios. Will try P07, and maybe G25 too.
    I'll let you know

IOH survives up to 1.3V (tested) .. and it kinda helps with higher BCLK..

217.. nice without mod, rlly.. tough, why those hyper-high CPU voltages? I made 225 with stock vCore?

    225 on a C0 with stock Vcore???
you must have a champion !

really, I still have a lotta tweaking ahead, but these are my first results for now. I'll try lowering the Vcore then

look at my "200 bclk" line... not much volts added, but stable on a 24/7 scale !!!

ps: 4.573, not 4.7... I wish I went that high! 'will try 4.6 though
