Will it cut into the water channel if you grind it down?

The block has to be chopped off, not ground down.
It's not even close in spacing. Where did he get these measurements? The hole spacing/block is so off, it's not even funny.

actually if you look at the chart it says only mosfet 1 works with Asus 3a.

    mosfet 2 is in orange

Yes but it doesn't say KIT and it's not centered. It's likely he forgot to add the orange field that doesn't mean the chart is not readable.

Just look at all the other listings on the chart, ASUS 3a is listed for mosfet 1 AND mosfet 2

I'm just not following your logic... If you read that chart and see the X58 requires a KIT of two different sized mosfet blocks how could you assume two of the same sized blocks would work?

I totally agree he messed up the chart. I just think a little common sense could have prevented this problem for you.

lennox, is it really that hard to figure out? he has the P6T (non deluxe). all it says under HIS type of motherboard is 3a. he didnt put a dividing line and its all the same color. i would assume the same thing Eddie. i would be PO'd too. should definitely fix the chart, who knows who else got screwed cause of this.

but after one mess up on the other 680i/780i mosfet blocks i wouldnt have bought his blocks again.

I would have questioned that chart right off the bat seeing that's the only place on it that isn't orange and no text through it.

Eddie, could you delete the double post of this topic so it doesn't get confusing for some ppl.

I can see both sides of it; it's quite unclear from the chart, but if I was going to make a judgement call I would conclude what Eddie did. But it does look like the formatting of the chart was screwed up.

Eddie, that spacing looks similar to the spacing on my R2E. Can you measure the hole-to-hole distance?

Doh, not close enough; my R2E has around 78mm (the one closest to the bottom of the board) and around 90mm on the other. Sorry I can't be more exact, but I don't have my calipers here. Maybe you could cut down the existing one? Or make sure you email EK Eddie; he's usually pretty good about customer service.

I looked at some of the Enzotech ones; they are either too long or too short for you

    Interesting..

I wonder if Eddy put the blue line because he mean't to put x58...

Look at the holes on the 2nd mosfet that goes in that spot.

Such the life of an early adopter. I have gone though this before and an email to Eddy is the only sure bet if something works or not.

Remember the Asus 780i Southbridge block that was "gun" shaped. The first version the holes were too close to the GPu and would not work. A revision corrected it, but that does not help the first people that bought one.

I think the chart was misleading, but common sense would make me wonder why was it not centered as the ones above and why does it not have two of them , one for each column as the above.

Looks like you got 2 of the sam block..... There is supposed to be a set of a larger one and smaller one. I got the bits power mosfet blocks that fit both the p6t deluxe and Rampage II extreme. I like these better than the EK ones and gary at sidewinders has them for 42 bucks each!
(New build):MSI Big Bang X-power II with XSPC MB blocks, Core I7 3930k@4.6Ghz with HT on, 3x GTX 480 SLI with EK Waterblocks(for now), X-fi Titanium, Gskill quad kit 16GB 2133mhz, 2x240GB Corsair GT SSD's(raid 0), 3xWD 2TB drives, Silverstone Strider ST1500 Watt, Dell3007WFP and 2x Samsung 305T's. Water loop: EK HF CPU block, XSPC RX480 Rad, Coolgate GC480, Airplex Revolution 420 Rad, 2x DDC 3.25 18W with EK dual top, Caselabs STH10 white with customizations....

    Hi!
I guess this is new way how to send message to me.

This is some obvious mistake. Ans I admit it. Unfortunatelly there was a mistake when copying the cells.
    Already fixed this error.
I am sure the seller will take back the blocks end send you replacement, otherwise send me e-mail.
    And not with forum thread

    Eddy made things right

Fixed the chart and worked out something with me.

Hopefully nobody else had picked up 2 asus3a blocks, but mistakes do happen.
Good thing we caught this early on

    Sigh..

After getting the new x58 asus p6t blocks and then going the trials of plating them, I find out they still don't fit.

The bottom mosfet fits perfectly, yet the one to right of the cpu has holes that are 3-4mm too long.

So in other words, asus p6t is not compatible with the x58 kit, even though the site states it is compatible.

What is compatible is the x58 bottom piece and asus 3a.. I sold both of the asus 3a unfortunately.

His site states compatibility with Rampage II Extreme and P6T Deluxe. Maybe there's a difference between that and your P6T "non-Deluxe"?

The pdf has it listed. He also changed it from asus 3a to x58. Yeah, there is a difference between the p6t deluxe. The bottom mosfet has 2 sets of hole spacing.

Did you ever get it straightened out? I want to go WC on my rig, not nessary to cool the board that way, but it'd be nice.

It -sounds- like you said you need the X58 Kit's smaller block, and the 3a? Just wanted to make sure.

Wonder if those sexy Bitspower units would fit... hm
