That looks nice, I just noticed that this was on newegg today. It is listed with 9-9-9-24 timings, but I believe g skill only makes this in 7-8-7-20

Same Elpida chip, different binning. The 9-9-9.... is what you get. It's a different product number.

Nice thread. Wish G.Skill would send me a set of these too as theere is no way I will be ably to afford this until the price droooops. I do like the RAM cooler alot!

EDIT: The CAS 9 versions are out of stock already at the egg. They went fast. I just can't justify paying 300 bones for CAS 9 RAM. Prices need to come on down some more!

    Giorgio is right.
The 1600 are more than likely using the Elpida BABG chips that do... "MNH-E Hyper"-ish up to DDR3-1700 to DDR3-1800 ( depending on your luck ) at 7-8-7-20 @ 1.65V to 1.8V

I am jealous. But I had to get me a set of Gskill 12800 Pi Black lately... Samsung HCF0 IMHO. Goes great, but if there'd been any Elpida-based low latency stuff around, I'd probably got that stuff instead.

So with Elpida that seems to scale after voltage increase, how long until we see some "stickmeasurement" so to speak here on XS?

Time to start showing us insane DDR3 clocks with Ln2 cooling and such
