nicely written article, OPP
all the info Xtreme overclocker would ever need.
seems like a really great product, too.
but not for me,
i'll be using a custom block (with 80w pelt, too),
with 3/4" INSIDE DIAMETER tubing (oh yeah ) and a 750w compressor water chiller.
and holy shizit that card of yours is warped!
got the MCW40T on the shelf at the mo... just can't get the crystal orb off my radeon!! **grrrrr**
I'll let you know about the affects of ID Sizes... I've just set up a swiftech MCW462UH 1/2" in the shop, and a standard mcw462u here on mine (with the 1/4" ID)... More or less matched systems apart from video... just give me a few days to get the benches together and have a look...
altho some say faster thru the block, slower thru the rads... maybe they've opted for that approach, leaving you relying more on you radiators...
this could also be the reason why the innovaset2 kit beat the swiftech kit in performance... innovaset uses 8mm tubing, and swiftech 6mm (i think, can't off hand remember inches to mm) but unfortunately the innovatek gpublocks are nowhere near as good as the swifty mcw40...
Nice review...Think I'll get me one of these, if I can find them here in Europe

Nice review. OPP. I have the mcw40-t and am very please with is. How's the condensation when you hook that up with your water chiller?
well, this swiftech MCW462U on 3/8" OD Tubing going thru a maxxxpert monorad with 120mm fan and into a 4pint metal pan with an eheim 1046 pump is currently giving me 35deg under normal windows, 37 degrees under full load, and idles around 30degrees...
XP2000 Unlocked, 1.85v, 200x9.5
Not got round to hooking vmod back up, but know it won't do 2ghz without it.
We have the swiftech MCW462UH in the shop on a 1046 with an aquacoil radiator entirely on 1/2" which idles an xp1800 stock at around 34 degrees...
Nice review OPP!
I must admit that Swiftech makes some nice stuff...the fit and finish seems always second to none. I'll have the MCW40-T and MCW462-UT put into my Quiet Power case this weekend (plus supporting goodies like more powerful fans, a blow hole, dedicated TEC PSU, etc).
I hope I get the same kind of results you did
Again, nice job on the review M8!
