They all ship to the US AFAIK. For the price without local (to them) sales tax divide the shop price by 1.19.

Looking for HEATKILLER 1366 Mounting Kit and Backplate.

I picked up a HEATKILLER CPU Rev3.0 Limited Edition Nickel but it was for a 775 socket (got it for a great price and knowing i could just change the mounting kit to 1366, plus the rarity of them).
Well to make a long story short i was too late to order the HEATKILLER 1366 Mounting Kit and Backplate and they've not been in stock for some time.
Was wondering if someone knows the ETA of said items into the US and if not anyone who could help me order then world.
It's a shame to just look at this block and not be able to use it....
I may just pick up the Watercool HEATKILLER CPU Rev3.0 1366 LC CPU Water Block at PPC just for the mount...

Someone posted the plate is not threaded , the plate is in FACT threaded. But you might not know that if you try and install it with the heatkiller logo facing you
Doesn't come with any foam backing which IMO is a requirement with all the circuitry and pins sticking out from the board, yes there are those red standoffs' but they aren't deep enough. If you put the red standoffs beside the back of the socket you will note the back of the socket is slightly taller than the standoffs (at least it is on my mobo).
I added a few layers of electrical tape onto to mine after finding out the mobo was shorting after adding the plate
IMHO this is not a well though-out plate and I'll be removing mine as soon as I tear down my rig.

So if someone can confirm a different plate will fit I would be interested in getting a different one.

Oh, and don't forget you will need a caliper or jig to install this beast properly.

What a joke, the Heatkiller backplate... it's flimsy at best... but what do you expect when it's so thin anyway
I then immediately ordered a Thermalright backplate that was threaded with M3 if I'm not mistaking.
I tapped it to M4 myself, couldn't be happier with it
If I want I can also use M4 screws with springs the other way around, like I did in the past with the D-Tek FuZion or the EK Supreme for example, as this photo shows:

Friend: Do you have a spare PSU lying around?
    Me: No why?
Friend: My PSU just blew up, I think the second 8800GTX might have been too much for it to handle
Me: what PSU was that again?
    Friend: Antec 480w
    Me:........

Hey Riddler what scenario you talking about .There's a motherboard that mounts to the case then water block mounts to motherboard how many diff scenarios are there. The back plate is not necessary or the manufactures would include it with the block and void the warranty if you don't use it. I have been water cooling for over 6 years so don't tell me to get back under my bridge. If you guys feel more comfortable with the back plate by all means buy it.

i recently ordered one heatkiller 1336 backplate from www.chilledpc.co.uk - turned up in my mail today =)

just checked, and they have them in stock!
Last but not least: Why would you need one though? i mean: when i installed mine, i felt dumb wasting 5£ on that instead of using the nuts that came with the block...

Basically when the proper tension is applied to the springs your board WILL warp (some boards may be more susceptible to this than others). Some argue that any warp caused by lack of a backplate is countered by the reverse tension created by screwing the MB to the chassis while mounting.

Will your system work with your MB bent into place by various high tension points? Sure. Is this good for your MB? No.

I have been running my i7 920 in a loop @ 4.2ghz for ~5 months. (I kind of buried my fear of lack of a back plate like many others) All of the sudden the system began suffering from random reboots. After days of trouble shooting it turns out the MB is sensitive to vibrations and physical touch (mainly to the main power connector and memory area ( the SAME area that was re-tensioned by screwing my bent MB to the chassis).

Now i don't know about you.... but if i could have saved my time troubleshooting the random reboots, and the inevitable system dis-assembly / reassembly (with all kinds of custom wiring headers) for $7usd... I call that a deal.

    WOW :O

i didnt think about something like that at ALL!
Thanks for writing the information, and explaining it good enough for me ;D

    Another question:
The instruction manual for my heatkiller block says 200N of pressure. Well.. 200N tells me NOTHING
just to make it easier to understand, the users manual is written in german (i think) and i dont speak that languege very good :P

This is the form i could understand though (kinda):

    100N - 21,3
    150N - 20,5
200N - 19,6 (the perfect pressure, but is this 19,6 mm? or??)
    250N - 18,7

    Help anyone?
