Is performance-pcs.com good? Their recent reseller ratings is below 5.

I've been dealing with Hank since late 2005, I have yet to have a single problem. The problem with RR is, it does sometimes get abused by ppl that feel if the E-tailer doesn't blow their nose and wipe their arse for them when they have a problem, they'll give them a crappy review. I wouldn't be surprised if some ppl give crappy reviews if they order something 5 min before UPS shows up to collect the days shipment and their oder doesn't go out with it. some ppl, you just can't please. Take RR with a grain of salt.

I've had nothing but good performance from PPCs during the last few years. They are my preferred seller for the East Coast. Their prices can be a bit higher than others, but they also are one of the best wrt having stuff in stock. I wouldn't worry about the reseller ratings ... why not order some small parts and see what you think for yourself?

EDIT: and, uhhh, yeah, Waterlogged said it better than I could. (I am such a wimp )

Being outside cont-US I depend on PPCs a lot. So far I've had no issues. A few times the packer throws in the wrong item even though its checked off the packing slip, but they're very quick to send out the correct one once I point it out.

Question - Does the Heat Killer 1366 - http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/heatkiller1366.html come with the 1366 back plate or did you have to buy it separately?

Yes skippy, i did take the time to read that tidbit... This easy could have meant the size of the plate attached to the block is 1366 compatible. It does not say "Back Plate" does it?

Anyhow thanks for the info, if in fact you have purchased this block and ARE confirming this meant back plate. <insert-silly-roll-eyes-face-here>

    Doesn't come with a backplate

Any place in the USA selling separate 775 and 1366 hold down plates?

Come on stop messing with me lol... its 230 am here and i have a 9am meeting... Does this url come with what i need or not?

The block in in the mail now and the backplate sold out in 3 days... so i need to know if i have to order a separate backplate from another site while i still can...

I mean... why would you sell a 1366 back plate separately anyhow? The spacing is different on the older Heat Killer 775 blocks...

Actually it does NOT come with the backplate. You must buy the backplate separately. There IS mounting included with the block, but no backplate.

Click Here(Link to another thread on XS) To see the results of a Heatkiller LT with no backplate on a pa120.3, MCP650, and 3x Low 44CFM yates.

I have the backplate arriving by Friday. Should see some more even temps.

Wait/pray/go without one :p Honestly you can buy from watercool directly, but it takes some talking to their customer support and you have to be willing to wire them the money.

Its a good company but its shipping is outrageous. I will only shop at PPCS only if Sidewinder doesn't have the item as their shipping is more reasonable.

I just bought a few items at ppcs. The only problem I have with performance is that they sometimes "forget" to put items in your order.
I picked up a koolance triple shroud, but the bolts were not in there. They wrote me back saying they "should" be in there and never responded to another one of my emails.
Luckily Koolance Dean was nice enough to take care of me. +1 for Koolance
