I don't think there is enough white cases on the market, but maybe there is a reason People think they look crap...

Case looks excellent, square grill a definite improvement, think you could throw something of known size on a render to get at better feel for the actual size?

If white is going to be the color for the case then black needs to an option as well. Looks good. I counted 8 pci slots which I like. The evga classified needs 8 and I bet future motherboards will follow suit

Imagine it in piano black, or wood grain with black grills now that is what I would call mouth watering...

I think the square grill looks better, it matches the case's lines. Also could you try a dark grey color, with maybe black grills. But as you probably are aware the case looks awesome.

I'm feeling a little despondent at the moment, after the recent data loss, as there had been a great deal of discussion about my case design over the past week or so. A large number of posts have been lost in this thread, and even more so in my 'Computer Cases' thread. All of the posts lost were encouraging and some were offering support in my quest to get this case built and put into production. So I'm feeling a little reluctant to start posting again at the moment, but I'm not going to give up just yet. Just need to get back on track!

FUGGER has stated in the 'Forum Comments' thread that the data has been lost!

Hmm I guess my post got lost. I think I said something like:

The extra hole in the case for the PSU fan is a little odd. I was thinking that you could do a similar thing to the Lian Li V2000 case and flip the PSU so its the other way up (the fan faces down like normal case) and then put holes in the bottom bracket that is holding the PSU up so it can get hold of some air. That way the PSU is in its normal orientation and you don't need the hole mid case.

Don't give up Mick, I think you're doing a fantastic job with your design.

You're really listening to what people want and creating something very special. I know it's a drag losing all those posts and maybe a little bit of your momentum, but keep your chin up and remember that everything happens for a reason.

OK, I'm not going to bother re-posting the renders and animations that were lost, as they are now, basically, out of date.

Here is my latest render, now with a 140mm exhaust fan at the rear....

Here is my latest 360 degree animation, including the 140mm fan, with and without the side panels....

Finally, here is a simple animation showing the case air flow, which is the reason why the PSU is mounted with fan facing upwards.....

    Yeah, those animations are sexy.

I honestly don't know how it is possible to design a better case than this. This case is basically perfect.

Love the case! I would like more 5.25" slots but could live with 3... maybe have 3 HD slots and 4 5.25? I would buy one of these cases for sure.

If this case was to get built, I'd have to move to core i7 early. It's a perfect case for dual loops.

Maybe have the option to mount (just) a 360 rad "on top" and have 2 more 5.25 bay's to use ?

Anyway , love the case , i want one and i would go fore this case over a MM any day

I was just thinking 'what the hell' why don't I just ask the question; is there anyone out there who thinks they can get this case built? Basically, I haven't the time or funds to get it made myself, and none of the case manufacturers I've approached seem to be interested. At this point in time I just want to see it become a reality. So, if there's someone who has got the resources to get my design off the drawing board, please let me know......

I can surely look into it at the machine shop. I was going to build it anyway... What do you guys think this sucker will cost? Do you have all the specs with measurements for this? I'll save money by using the hdd cage and other cages from other cases that were gutted around here.

yes maybe have the front intake as a 3x 5 1/4 bay device?

I dunno, I love the case, but, part of me wants the front to be cleaner without the grill of the 160mm fan

Would also be good if either the bottom or top rad mounts were removeable to include room for hdd bays for file a handy file server.

    Good work!

I'm still gonna get you in touch with the fellow @ lian li mick, but also there was a link bentleya posted in the LC render thread where there was a place that fabbed custom electronics casings of all shapes and sizes.... ill look

It's a 200mm intake fan, without it you wouldn't have any air flow through the case.

I designed this case for a two loop watercooled system, not a file server! If you're after a case for a file server, buy a Lian Li...

    Thanks.

Thanks SNiiPE, I did have a look at that site that bentleya posted, but I think I would need to have my design converted to CAD before they could give me quote.
