This is a perfect case design IMO ... I dont see why any major companies dont start designing cases that are for more WCed setup designs, the way things are going there are many people going into WCing there computers these days. I personally love the TJ07, its clean, you can fully adjust and tear down everything, and the way the PSU cutout is so the PSU is sideways rather then taking up much used space.I wish the TJ07 had the same design but with another compartment on top kind of liek this design. Would def make a killer in sales.

My only issue with the TJ07 is its cost 0,o. Though now im debating why not just spend the $ since this case will last me another 5+ years for w/c since its built for it.

BUT the case that is the topiv in this thread would be DEF worth the $.

^_^ I wish someone would hit up protocase there and see what the cost is for something like this. If < 400$ I would be down to snag one.

I actually called them up, something with around this height and the basic 25 cut outs would be around 600 bucks.. If we could get a handful of people we could cut costs down and do a BULK order.. I personally would love to do an INVERTED setup and i think most people would perfer that as well. If Mick could send me the CAD file and demensions for the box etc i could foward it to them and see what it would run.

I just got off the phone with Protocase, and they said they have a NDA agreement that they would maintain on this project if you were to choose them Mick. This way your intellectual property rights are protected, and also allows for a production run. Obviously the more that can commit to purchase the cheaper production is going to be. I sent an email to a member of their design team that just shows 6 different angles of your renders to get a better idea of what this would cost to produce. They said they should have me an answer by tomorrow. Hopefully they come back with a rather reasonable figure that would allow more people to get on board for this project.

great design, just be sure to make enough room for a Silverstone ST1500 PSU without modding.

Great case, I have been looking for a full aluminum case. The only good watercooling case out is Corsair 800D but it's like $300 and made out of steel. Well you could make it out of steel to cut costs but steel is heavy . But Corsair have to make a decision on the selling price point. At more than $300 they won't sell as many cases so they went with steel instead of aluminum. Maybe see the cost difference if it was made out of metal?

Well anyways I took my aluminum full tower watercooled PC to a LAN party once and it was heavy. Imagine if it was steel.

There are aluminium cases that weight more then steel ones. Simple material choice doesn't always 100% mean resulting weight. Afterall, aluminium for same structure strength needs to be much thicker. I'd say that good quality case can be made of whatever. It's overall result that counts, not specific material. Some also say that with aluminium case it's harder to silence vibrations. There is no clear recepe of success.
    P.S.
imho TJ07 is way more common as THE case for liquid cooling then 800D.
    P.P.S.
all liquid cooling stuff .. doesn't it make at least half the weight of your rig? and in this case imho case's weight matters even less.

Just to let you know, progress is being made. As I said in previous posts, there is a company working on my case design, but they were busy with other projects. They are now concentrating on my design, but it is a lengthy process.

I am expecting to see some 'solid' results in the next couple of weeks and as soon as I have something to show you I will post them here.

I know things have been quiet of late but I have had a lot of things to deal with in my home and work life which has left me no free time to indulge in my hobbies.....

    Good news there Mick,
I wish you all the best with getting it made, you have put a tremendous amount of work in and the attention to detail is such that with proper manufacturing support this case could become a real favourite.

At the moment, both I and the manufacturer in question want to ensure that the production of my case design is a viable, hopefully profitable, venture. If all goes well and production goes ahead, it wont be long before all comes to light!

I've only looked at page one but I'm already changing my pants, excuse me for asking these questions before reading the rest of the thread but I can't wait

    1. Is the design still the same?
    2. It seems like the user can choose ATX or inverted ATX, correct? Major plus!
    3. I like the dual hard drive bays, but you have two different sizes for the second one. Can the user choose which to install?
    4. Are these available yet? If so, how much? Where? How long to receive an order?
    5. Will you include several changes of underwear please?

It wasn't even a week ago that I was complaining to several people the there isn't a SINGLE case on the market which completely catches my eye and now I see this LIKE!
