    Case Design for Liquid Cooling

I'll probably get shot for starting another thread featuring my case design, but I thought, as it has been specifically designed for liquid cooling, why not see what you guys thought of it. Specifically, those who don't frequent the computer case forum, or those who may not be interested in looking at the Render Gallery.

The dimensions of the case are: depth - 680mm, width - 230mm, height - 620mm and because of its size, will probably be constructed from aluminum. It can accommodate a 480 (120.4) rad in the top and a 360 (120.3) rad in the bottom. The case width would allow a push-pull configuration of 38mm fans, 38mm shrouds, rad of choice, 38mm shrouds, and 38mm fans. There is enough room for a long PSU if required, and the motherboard tray will except an extended ATX motherboard. There are 3 5.25" drive bays and room for 4 HDD's. Case cooling is provided by a single 200mm intake fan at the front, a single 120mm exhaust fan at the rear, plus the flow provided by the PSU fan. The is plenty of room in the centre section for a couple of pumps and reservoirs and I've provided routes for cables and tubing. I think that's most of the information you would want to know. Please let me know what you think. I am hoping to get it put into production, and have contacted a couple of well known case manufactures. I haven't heard anything back yet, but if I can show them that it would be a popular case, I'm sure one of them would be interested...

That is a very nice design for a case. I am assuming you will put holes in the compartments to route tubing. If you could make that for around or less than $300 I would buy one. Maybe change the back 120mm to a 140mm (kinda nitpicky though). Otherwise, it is a VERY nice design.

Good luck on getting a manufacturer to make it. Other than MM or DD no one makes a case that would only be useful to WCers.

i saw you post this on the render gallery.....and i gotta say, its an amazing looking case, id certainly buy one...personally i much prefer the look of this case to any MM or silverstone case

although the only criticism i have is that i would rather have another 3 or 4 bays instead of the side mounted HD rack and fan...thats just my opinion other than that its perfect! very nice work indeed!!!

I love the design of this case. So much can be done with it and I do hope you get this into production. I would buy one. I would make a door for it though but that's just me and because I have kids so I tend to pick cases with front doors to keep little fingers away from buttons and shiny things.

wut? Are you saying eATX will fit or it won't? I'd ordinarily presume you meant "accept", except that the rest of your post is fine

Edit: It's a little hard to tell, but going by the scale of the above pics it looks like you could whack another HDD cage right after the first one and still have room for extra-long VGAs - yes? This would definitely be appreciated by those of us with six or more HDDs.

    I'd hit it

Seriously though, that's gotta be the best case design i've seen in a long time. In the right finish it would also look spectacular.

That case looks sweet, but its a shame the big front fan blows hot air through the HDDs, means hot air into the case. Not such a big deal if everything including ram is watercooled, but if you're not looking to watercool everything then some components may get a little warm. I like the TJ07's layout in that the hot air from the HDDs is blown straight out the side. I'm sure you could put one HDD cage up the top and leave a little more space for the pump/reservoir within the main compartment.

But it is a lovely looking case!

I don't think the HDs dump too much heat, and it is always good to cool them. Assuming you only have the vid card and cpu WCed I can't see the extra heat effecting anything. Notice how even the major ram OCers only have a fan on them.

Thanks for your support guys! I'm going to add a poll, a simple 'Like' or 'Dislike' just to get a feel of just how popular the design is. Positive, I hope.....

Just had some good news. Got a reply from one of the case manufacturers I contacted, and they really like how it looks. Sounds promising!

i would love to buy it

but if i got couple more grand to build a wc with 2 quad and 2 triple rads i would

    otherwise i would buy it

this is case would be called the tj-07 + edition (because of the top compartement for quad rad)

Edit: can you show a picture of the clearance from the motherboard to the hdd/5.25 bays?

if possible ek res's can be there

are 38mm fans loud? with shrouds?
