    joined for SETI..

THINK I set everything up right. Joined xtrmesystems.org in BOINCstats, and at SETI at home.

Question: I am seeing my CPU run between 50 and 100% with BIONC. I have a GTX 260 216 and am using a cuda enabled driver. Shouldn't the GPU be doing the crunching? I enabled "use GPU if available" on the web based control page. Did I miss a setting somewhere?

SETI has optimized applications available, so you'll want to use those to get the most points possible. http://lunatics.kwsn.net/gpu-crunching/index.0.html

For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.

Am trying to figure out how to set some of this up. Not seeing any how to's. For example, I extracted a version for CPU+GPU optimization...what i get is some setup files and .exe's that don't run, and do nothing if I drop them in the BIONC folder. I know this is goofy, but I am not seeing how to get them to work.

Shut down BOINC (make sure applications close in task manager), extract all files into your boinc/projects/setiathome.berkeley.edu folder, restart BOINC.

I am so silly sometimes, lol. I'm in vista X64, so that directory is elsewhere. Found it, and that did the trick. It's FLYING now. Looks like around 70 minutes total to complete task...oh, that's cool. It's doing a task per core, so 70 for 2 tasks.

Well, after a SYSTEM restart, it'd doing a task on GPU in about 4 minutes, and another simultaneously on the CPU in about 20 minutes. Am using a beta X64 version of enhanced 6.08.

Do you mean AstroPulse in general, or do you mean a new app version? You can download a team work mod that allows you to run enhanced AP, enhanced AK and CUDA all at the same time. http://lunatics.kwsn.net/12-gpu-crun...cpu-use.0.html

not really. I was checking the other day and we have a total of 80+ 6-7 running full time. I was pretty impressed with the numbers I saw.

    Welcome to the team.

Taking 21-24 minutes per WU. Had one error so backed off OC. Cool seeing WUs fly by like that.
