    Build for my parents.

My parents came to me with a budget of 400-$500 for a new computer.
I wanted it to be semi-upgradeable since I have a 15 year old brother who might like to play games on it. No overclocking of any kind.

I have an CD/DVD combo drive I would give them.

They have been on XP for so long so an upgrade for Vista would be nice. I guess this leaves an option for a better CPU/GPU in the future.

    Total after shipping is $450.28

    Thoughts?

Instead of the Rosewill case you could buy a Lian Li PC-7BPlus II because it has more room and excellent airflow.

I think the 8400 would be a waste of money- if that video card is sufficient, then the onboard video would be sufficient. Any particular reason your going for a Micro ATX board? A full size gives you more expandibility and features. Also at this price range, AMD gives you a little more bang for you buck.

i really think that u should go amd, that will get a useful IGP (thats better than an 8400) and cost the same with about the same cpu performance, and why not get an matx case. and stay away from any NV card that isnt an x8xx or 260 and up they are all defective in the 8 series mostly defective in the 9 and cant play back high def and look like crap on SD, were an amd IGP looks great and can do 1080p and higher
