so no DDR3 lovin for me tonight. I put it in my cheap AsRock board with some Gskill ram and it does seem to be a good chip. Im only using a Zalman 9700 for cooling right now. This ram seems to clock surprisingly well tho to my surprise.

I guess in a few more days all have some DDR3 results.

You need less ram and less NB and 150-200mhz more cpu speed. Every 100mhz is worth about 450-500 give or take.

I've extensively done the math....your scores do seem rather low.....I know for a fact I can wack 25k+ @ 4700 with my 4850's in crossfire

and thats with a 940BE and ddr2.

Someone mentioned that the M4A79T gives better memory performance with 2x1GB DDR3 than 2x2GB, but I can't find that post. Is it true?
