    UPDATE FOR 2011 Coming soon.

So up date for 2011, started around Oct of 2010, got back from trip to China, and figured I need to do something so I won't be bored and ended up with this.

Then it snowballed and the project starts, huge order of new oem toyota parts.

    Clutch pedal built

45 Dollar per bottle tranny fluid lol.

    Driveshaft shop goodies showed up

    Billet spacer mounted on trans

Six speed rear end showed up this is the pic after its opened cleaned and resealed and ready to go on the car.

    Mess inside

    Bye Bye auto shifter

Ouu my clutch showed up didn't have quite the budget for the triple version so twin will have to do for now.

Trans with billet shifter fork bushings and TRD trans mount mounted.

    Mess of old auto parts

Hole for the six speed tunnel cut out with sawzall

New six speed trans tunnel mounted riveted and seamsealed.

    And done

Now this took 28 days to complete working afew hours a night during regular days and couple hours a day on weekends. Overall it was smooth I skipped a lot of other pics since no one was there to take pics such as drilling holes to mount the master cyclinder and clutch pedal as well as removing old trans and mounting the new one etc.. It some of it was such a PITA I was like why am I doing this lol but in the end it was worth it.

So moving on it was just barely thanksgiving of 2010 when I was wrapping up the project and GF asked what I wanted for xmas knowing she don't make much moola I throw out the idea of changing the looks of the car and ditching the body kit so around xmas time this shows up.

Shine auto Ridox kit with CF accents

Test fitted, but you can't tell the CF accents

Painted and now you see the accents

    All done and crusing around

LOL, its just OEM white, I like it, but something about black on a mkiv just makes it look mean. What color you like?

Yea, the stockers where fun but this is crazier in everyway. The lag is definatly there though. But I just think of the lag as foreplay lol.

Yea, the cf hood is really a love or hate type thing, but I'm thinking about a different hood lately so it might go or it might not. But next hood will have paint or parts of it painted.

You feel lag in yours? My Mk3 lag is barely noticeable. It's a cool Supra and nice to see another Supra owner on here.

I strongly suggest getting a nice Mk3 shell and swapping it. You'll gain a much nicer interior, a more understated look and it'll be lighter... that and the cops won't hassle you.

But it is defiantly a well done car, you haven't gone down the loud route of "LOOK AT ME" and kept it standard looking.

Yeah, thats because the CT26 is a reasonably small turbocharger in its stock form, so it spools pretty quickly.

Thanks, but I don't think I'm swap it into a mk3 shell anytime soon. The cops have been good to me lately, they don't really hassle me that much, its a small town and I use to workout with a corrections officer which in turn knows most of the cops and I think he put in a good word fo rme lol.

Yup, the twins were fun in seq mode, the first turbo spools fairly quick and the 2nd comes online about 4300rpms and the thing goes pretty good. This big 72mm turbo comes on about 4600rpms and its hang on tight . I spun those 315 rear tires quite afew times at speeds over 60mph pretty freaky.

Suggestions? Its a OEM CF hood with oem wing. The wheels are ccw classics quiet popular over on this side of the pond. I do have a set of work meister s1 in black that I want to order. I had a trd wing on before and didn't really like it. Also thought about going wingless with a cf trunk lip spolier kinda give it more cf accent.

I picked the wheels for a reason, it was good price, 3 peice and readily available, so if I do curb a lip or something I can order a new lip and put it on in have about a week of down time rather than a few month to have a nother wheel come from japan. Also its 11.5in wide to fit 315s in the rear.

MK3s are heavier than MK4s. And they have horrendous interiors, as one would expect for a 20 year old car.

Er, exsqueeze me? How exactly are they 'horrendous'? Have you seen the leather in mine? Electric EVERYTHING - Lumbar Support, Side Support, Heated Bum warmer...

In my opinion, the Mk3 is more understated and refined. The Mk4 screams 'LOOK AT ME!' too much.

    ** EDIT **

Seems that indeed, the Mk3 is LIGHTER than the Mk4.

    Mk4 Turbo = 1581kg
    Mk3 Turbo = 1537kg

BUT - Let's not turn this thread into a Mk3 vs Mk4 thread. The O/P's car is nicely done.

I'm one of those people that think the Lexus SC300 (aka Toyota Soarer) should have become the Mk4 Supra....but then, i guess the Skyline R32 came out and Toyota needed a counterpart to that...

I don't dislike the Mk4....but the dash layout is a little odd, the popup headlamps became frog eyes....and all too often it reminds me of the fugly ass Ford Scorpio that was foisted on us Europeans by the infinite wisdom of Ford's US division.

You running the A342E or the V160 transmission?

I don't know why I thought the mk3 was lighter. It looks a bit smaller so that might be why.

The interior IS more of a luxury thing and from what I've seen of the mk4 interior... we got the better deal.

I'm running the auto for now, and I tell u what its boring the hell out of me. Reason I got it was it was 5 miles away form where I lived and I bought it bone stock with the original dirt under the hood with 32k miles. Figured why not, but I will be doing a v160 swap this summer. I never seen a ford scropio so no idea what it looks like, but the good thing about the bug eye headlights is it really lights up the road at night lol.

I always thought it was lighter than a mk3 but guess not, especially reading the NCF on how toyota went the extra length on weight reduction.
