I took my first ever loop apart after my D5 started leaking and I've found that my blocks appear to be corroded. The MCW-30 much worse than the Apogee GT. But both have a black coloration on them which after three 15 minute coats of ketchup followed by a toothbrush scrubbing and distilled water rinsing is still prevalent. Although on the MCW-30 it does seem to be fading, but maybe that's just wishful thinking.

I'm sorry about the bad quality of the pics, but the iPhone is only so good.
In any case, am I going to need a new chipset waterblock?
And regarding the Apogee GT, will the fairly minimal amount of darkness you can see impact performance or negatively impact my rebuild in any way?
As for how this happened? I suspect it was my slightly liberal use of PT_Nuke. I used 4 drops when I suspect I should have used 1 maybe 2 tops.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
