Haha, i think the pics would need to look less dusty and hairy
I didn't know the GTZ came with so much hair straight outta the box! (but i LOVE the block)

I definitely am having so much fun! I never thought i would get this many compliments! Rad pictures coming right up. I'll take them for a stroll on photography lane

Wow thanks seeker, i've been loving your TJ07 log also! It's given me lots of inspiration!

EDIT: Just to let people know, i am going to be making a 'rain coat' for my Sapphire 4870x2 in case of any spills, i plan to cut out some hard plastic, spray it black and mount it to the back plate to stop any potential drips from the GTZ. Wish me luck!

Sorry shaz, i only had time to take photos of the GTZ because it was quick and easy, but tomorrow i will have the rad pics (as requested by BA), twwen2's fan mutation and my 'rain coat' for the 4870x2.

    Incredible work as usual mate.

Just one thing for anyone interested in the soldering, i actually did switch's fans differently to mine. Instead of stripping a section of wire and joining the other onto it (bit like a T-intersection), i simply cut both connectors off and soldered a new one onto the two bare ends (more like a Y-join). I found this method easier and cleaner than the one in my log.

    Hopefully that makes sense.

I just picked up on this thread, very nice work indeed!! As everyone else has said the pics are fantastic. The only thing I might suggest is cutting the U molding you used on the holes you cut in the case differently. If you cut the corners at a 45° angle the ends would match up better, kind of like they cut molding around a door.

    Awesome job so far!!!

That's pretty much what I do. Although my soldering skill is nothing to be proud of

By the way - nice of you to help switch out. His build is coming along beautifully - you should be proud!

He and i are Uni mates, we're studying similar courses. I'm incredibly proud of his work so far, and as i've told him, his log (pics especially) puts mine completely to shame.

That explains it, Uni mates. Your log is great too.

Thanks shaz, the other day more fires broke out not far from where i live, all my area was filled with smoke and ash was falling from the sky (there was no danger but it really made you cautious)

Its cool how you guys (twwen & switch) are uni mates and are into very similar things! All my school friends are either bankers or into econometrics. My uni friends, are all into programming, and new web technologies, and where i used to work, they were all... um... lets say, IT illiterate. They paid me 80 euros to install 4 dvd drives into their computers (no i didnt have to buy them the dvd drives either).

so yeah, nice seeing computer building/modding/watercooling bringing peeps together!

I also must note, i saw a package at my concierge this morning, all wrapped up in ACRYAN tape... but i couldnt get a look as to which apartment it was going to... Seems to be another modder in my building. Maybe i should start dremeling and maybe he will hear it and recognize the sound...

Keep going Switch! cant wait till this project is done

Yeah, it's great having somebody there for help/advice. I would be stuck if it weren't for twwen2's help!

Maybe try walking up an down the halls screaming "Okay i'm just going to go MOD my pc now, oh how i wish there were more modders out there, perhaps even in this building!" It'll work for sure!

    miniature Update
    No pics..

Well i just finished setting up my loop in the case!

I was so nervous as it is my first water cooling experience, but well worth it! I had a minor leak from the GTZ but one quick phone call to twwen2 (again twwen to the rescue) alerted me to the fact i had not used the swiftech o-rings to compensate for the recessed holes!

All better now and i should have some pics up tomorrow for y'all
