    Question

    O.K.

I have a small problem. I have forgotten to order the molex to SATA power cables for the HDD and optical drive with the bulk of my order.. shipping will be a killer..

Also i don't want all my fans being plugged into the motherboard because it will look messy so here is my plan.

I think i'll grab a Rheobus fan controller and two molex to SATA 18" cables from PPC'S.. that way i can route the molex cables for my HDD and optical behind the motherboard tray, leaving the Rheobus to control the rest of my fans... unless anyone else has any suggestions i will place the order today (i'm wayy over my budget ).

I think my only other option is to plug the fans that aren't in the Kaze Master Ace into a 3pin to molex adapter, although the shipping will probably be just as much as the cables..

    Any ideas are appreciated!

Like i said in the email, go get urself a soldering iron. Or bring it all round to my house and we'll do some wiring.

Other option is plugging them straight into the PSU, probably with some sort of molex adaptor.

    PCI-E Cables

Well i have solved my miniature disaster by buying another Kaze Master ACE fan controller and chaining (with the help of twwen2) the two rear 92mm fans in the TJ07 and my Scythe F series 1600rpm fans that i'll be replacing the stock top exhaust fans with. This will give me exactly enough fan controller space for all my fans!

Here is the PCI-E cables sleeved, enjoy.

Only a little more sleeving to go guys (as i know your probably all sick of seeing pics of my sleeve job) Then there will be a nice change for you all.

Hard to say on the sleeving. It would have been a while because it was my first attempt. perhaps two hours on the 24pin (some heatshrink slipped off so i had to redo them) and much less for the rest of the cables (8pin power, PCI-E, etc.)

I really do recommend trying the sleeve job! The final result makes it worth while! Especially the MDPC sleeve!

I'd never get sick of seeing your amazing sleeving images Brenton. In fact, I'd love to use some of them on the murderMod website.

    Keep up the great work!

    Last of the Sleeving

Okay, so this is the last pics of my sleeve job. sorry if the sleeving has dragged quite a bit, but i promise more 'meaty' updates are coming.

Yesterday twwen2 came around and we had some fun with the fans and soldering iron (thanks twwen2 i owe you big time). Pics of that and the waterblock/rad cleaning will be next. Stay tuned and keep the comments coming.

Oh, one extra thing. In some photo's you can see the colour through the sleeve but i assure you that i'm looking at it right now and i can't see ANY colour whatsoever! Perhaps the camera just picks up on things i can't see Anyway, enjoy.

I just didn't want people getting tired of seeing so much of it!
Appreciate the interest you've shown in the sleeving.
It was the pictures in your build log that inspired me to take photo's like this.

Haha, thanks headala, i'm glad you see it to!
I was hoping people could really get an insight into what the sleeve is like in person.

All the connectors will be hidden from the naked eye
If all goes to plan, you won't see any of the connections or that ugly white Molex (although if they were visable i would agree with you about the unbalance of colours and would change to black )

Nice man, did you tell them how i nearly lost a finger to that Kaze we were playing with? Those things are beasts!
Also the soldering was my pleasure. I was actually very pleased with the results (as were you!).

    Keep the updates coming.

How could i forget! speaking of that, the Kaze Master has a slight problem. When the Ultra Kaze is plugged in the 4th connector and i turn it to almost full, it makes the Kaze Master go haywire and it beeps and freezes!

All i have to do it run the pump rpm off that connector because there is no problem when it's only monitoring the rpm's and not adjusting them. Problem solved.

Hmm, sounds like the controller might be overloaded. But only on one plug...

At least you have a solution in the pump connector.

    Update

Today i cleaned the MCR320, GTX240 and the Apogee GTZ.

I'm only showing pictures of the waterblock because the rads have already been shown (unless people request some shots of the rads together).

Next up will be the pictures of the fan chaining with twwen2's handy work and the mock loop design and leak test

    GTZ Cleaning

Please, excuse the gross fingerprints and mess.

    Enjoy

Fan Soldering and Leak Testing Coming Soon.

Great assortment of GTZ shots. It's obvious that you're enjoying this build from your worklog and a pleasure to see. And I think we're going to need the see the rads together.
