Wait a min
Why is it getting discontinued? and where was this announced?
Also, wasnt AIDA the one that got discontinued looooooooong time ago to let Everest take over? Then Ultimate and Enterprise took over the regular free edition. So now they are going back to AIDA?
Or am I wrong here?
Is there a link that confirms that everest is dead?
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=260387
fiery makes it (he did the old aida) and if he is on aida64 then everest is dead, and i doubt that everest stopped updating then some1 made aida64 and spread the word about and stole fiery's forum accounts then got fugger (who i think personally knows the guy) to change his forum title.

The AIDA project basically returned to its roots, you can even say its back to "normal". I've personally started developing first ASMDemo, then AIDA16, then AIDA32, and they all were one-man freeware projects. Then I've teamed up with some very nice guys to form Lavalys, and started a similar project called EVEREST, which was basically a software based on my AIDA32. Later on, things went south with those very kind persons at Lavalys, and now I'm outta Lavalys and started the AIDA64 project with a couple of old friends and former colleagues.
What I can assure you is AIDA64 is the future. I'm not in a position to discuss or even know what would happen to Lavalys, but maybe soon we'll all see how it turns out.
That's a bit of an exaggeration IMHO. It is still available for download at Lavalys website, albeit it's not very up-to-date, and noone can tell whether any updates would be coming.
Yep, now it's the perfect time to switch to AIDA64For your free upgrade to AIDA64 - you have until 20 October to forward your current license email to get a new license.

There's no scam in this. And actually, you don't have to exchange your EVEREST license to a free AIDA64 license if you don't want to. Instead, you can get a new full AIDA64 license for less than $20 for a week from today.
Yes, you can Check this topic in the AIDA64 forum:

If you don't have an EVEREST license, then you may want to subscribe to the AIDA64 Newsletter (same page that I linked, on top of the right sidebar). We may introduce a Xmas Sale, Easter Sale or *Whatever Sale* in the near or not so near future I can't tell you more at this time
Thanks Fiery, just subscribed. I used to have Everest Ult but let it expire earlier in the year. Now I will have to play the waiting game, hopefully not too long.
