    Phenom in Close Shave?

yeah have you guys seen this?

surely this has got to be even a slight copyright infringement on the AMD product, before AMD i had never heard the word 'Phenom'

what you guys think, now you have your 920' and 940's, do you feel the need to shave with a Phenom?

Hrmm, Never tried shaving with my 920 but I did get cut once removing IHS on a Athlon.
Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.

    Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.

    Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.

    Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.

Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!

Embraer Phenom Business jet possibly beat AMD to the name, since it was being advertised well before we heard of the word Phenom.

I rather try shaving with a Phenom then Interstate 5 (i5) or Interstate 7 (i7) (sadly, this would make more sense if interstate 7 was a reality and not just a proposed plan )

First time I heard the name Phenom, it was in reference to The Undertaker of WWF/E fame......
I used to love watching him "beat" the snot out of people.....heh

And, I heard, possibly not true, that the XP in Athlon XP was because of a rumor, supposedly started by a "competitor", that Windows XP wouldnt run on the new AMD CPU's...

............. wow so you can't say xp anymore? extreme performance? the athlon xp cpus were better than the normal athlons so they added that tag. i see nothing wrong with that just like theres nothing wrong with someone else using the word phenom. im pretty sure phenom is even in the dictionary. this thread is just a joke.

Phenom just means something/someone of great ability.
The word has been around for quite a long time now.
Gretzky, Jordan...both considered Phenoms in their sport.

Still funny non the less with the smoothness part though lol.
I'll stick with my regular Mach 5 Fusion though...paid enough for the darn thing I'm going to keep it for a while lol.
