    VelociRaptor or Caviar Black

    Which drive is better?

The VelicRaptor is 10K rpms but has 16MB Cache where the Caviar Black is 7.2K rpms but has 32MB cache.

Does disk speed mean more than cache when playing games?

I am looking for a drive around $200. I have seen the SSD drives but don't feel like paying so much for the drive at the moment.

I will probably upgrade to an SSD when the prices come down.

If you know of another drive that is better than the VelociRaptor or Caviar Black then please mention it as well.

    Thanks.

well i just realized ur access time was only 6.8 which is faster then a raptors..i was guessing it was because of the small partition...could you get those times with a bigger partition??

I just ordered a raptor. Is it best to only store OS on them, and nothing else, if you're going 1xraptor and 1xstorage?
