update stuff seems kind of pointless.... would still try get a 40mm tec myself... an updated same spec tec >_<
I think this "update" stuff is just from a newer revision... so wont be much performance diff if any =(

If i throw as 168W TEC on it, i have my doubts that the little heatsink that cools the TEC is going to be sufficient.
EDIT: Ordering a 140W TEC + Meanwell PSU for it. We'll see how she does.

I've been running a TEC @ 125W for the past month or so. I don't think there is much of a difference between it and the stock 70W one. Maybe a degree or two.
Also I wouldn't suggest putting anything bigger than 125W on it either. I don't think the heatsink that cools the TEC can handle all that much more. As currently the air coming off it is very warm.

Mine is coming these days and I have 170W tec, so we'll see how it's doing on i7 940
It's freakish big...Getting close to watercooling temps tho...
Loonym...You are missed.
The element of one
Breathe me in
Breathe me in
I disbelieve in separation. I close my eyes to see you.
This is for you, everything I am. This is for you, take it from me.
I, I disbelieve separation. I close my eyes
there's no escaping me
This is for you, everything I am. This is for you, take it from me.
In your heart in your soul. I perceive rejuvenation
Breathe me in. I am forever. Deep within I am eternal.
I will return to you. I am with you always. I will never turn away from you.
Thanks for the review.

This looks like one INSANE cooler!!
I had a ULTRA ChillTEC a couple years ago kinda turned me off on TEC coolers I guess, even though it was a pretty wimpy TEC of course. I'm still using backplate, springs and thumbscrews from it on my TRUE though, heh, is kinda a modified setup. I just used the top bracket that came with the true, seems to work very well. About only thing that was worthwhile off that ULTRA I think :P
In case anyone interested, it came out pretty nicely have change a thing or too since then.

I had looked at the V-10 and just decided to go the Copper TRUE, had been looking at them since they came out. The V-10 does take up a lot of space for changing out things or generally playing about I suppose, but is interesting to see what you can do with that big guy .
Nice review.
