    Need help to install an e-SATA hard drive

    hi all i Need help to install an e-SATA hard drive to the external conector by e-sata

    the hard drive is a MyBook from WD the Mobo is a TPower 45, i did as the instructions says and the pc didn´t recognized the drive, simply it doesn t appear on the device manager, i trid different ways to install it even went to bios and nothing

    can anyone give me a tip to put this hard drive working by e-sata and tell me what im doing wrong ?

    u have to have ahci enabled, and the esata i think os one the jmicron controller
    3770k, M5E, kingston 2x4GB cfr
    samsung 2TB F4EG, samsung 840 250GB , CM690II, corsair 750tx

    OK do you mean AHCI Enable and the OS pluged into tge JMicrom Controler ????

    no there are 2 controllers an ich10 (for sata, with your internal HDD) and jmicron for PATA and eSATA. u need the ich to be whatever u had it on, and the jmicron to be ahci
