    Windows live messenger install error hr:0x80070643

    I get this error when i try to install windows live messenger. i have ran the internet thin looking for a solution for this problem and i have come up empty handed. if any1 has any ideas or solutions i would much appreciate the help. thanks in advance for the help.

    its not worth it dude, i got it and its buggy. it shows i have emails when i dont...and it takes a million try's to sign on. stick with live messenger 8.

    thats the problem i cant get any messenger installed. it tells me that i have a newer version installed.

    http://webmessenger.msn.com/ is what I use, I don't install the full app.

    try uninstalling it all, and then just have a good luck around your computer....

    delete anything thats "windows live ...." and also obviously "MSN MESSNGER"

    then search the registry a bit,

    also application data (in documents and settings) then try again

    i have officially given up on this msn thing. i deleted everything windows live related. did registry sweeps even did some commands in msdos and still nuttin. so thats it i am done!
