    Fan controller calculations...

Ok, so i was reading several reviews on fan controllers, and i read that some dont have the power to make the fans spin to the full potential.

so my question is, i have 7 Xigmatek 120MM XLF-F1253 LED fans, that i want to power up, I already have a Zalman ZMMFC1 Plus, which has 6 ports.

I cant seem to find how much power each fan needs... Does anyone know?

And if im not mistaken the fan controller i have can distribute up to 7W per channel... I dont think that is enough... or is it? I want to use these fans to their full potential.

    Thanks in advance!

if i'm not wrong the xigma are 0.2A each. just check on the label which is put on the back of the fan. At their max voltage (12V) they will use 12V*0.2A=2.4W each. the controller you have has a max output of 7W. its fine

    Yeah they are 0.2A...

Does this mean i can wire up 2 fans per channel without giving me a problem?

Yes, even close to three (2.4W *3 = 7.2W), but that would perhaps be pushing it. So 2 fans per channel should be fine.
