No more expensive ram for me. Just not worth it. It depreciates like crazy, and IMO no ram is worth almost $500. 1 year from now, that ram will sell for $50 probably lol.

It's one thing to pay a lot of money for a cpu, or a videocard, a lot more R & D probably goes into them. but ram... just not much to it to warrant $500. I know this is xtremesystems, but i'm just giving my opinion - that probably no one here wants to here :p

decent specs, but those prices are a joke. same thing will happen to ddr3 that happened to ddr2. Nobody would of seen prices coming down so soon of ddr2 especially nice sticks like 2 gig densities rated at 1066mhz... give it time.

Reminds me of Corsairs PC8888 and PC10500 lol. Give it time for others (G.Skill, Corsair) to catch up and they will compete.

Just ordered a 6Gb kit for 355 Euro's shipped, so not that bad in price... sadly shipping expected in 2 weeks
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

Thank you. That Amazon CL9 price is very good. Seems like OCZ has their mem priced very well right now.

However it makes me wonder if the CL9's are Elpida's!

Agreed! I actually convinced myself to order them. Hopefully they work out ok. I still can't believe they are nearly 30% cheaper than NewEgg!

I just pay any applicable sales tax and shipping costs when it comes to DDR2... so many rebates bring cost of the item to near $0 lol

DDR3 is getting there too.... I just wish I did not buy these OCZ 4gb ddr3 2000mhz kits almost a 11 months ago at the insane prices they were set at (near $300)
