Arrow SATA 1.5Gb/s cables and SATA 3.0Gb/s cables are really different? ... Confused!!!

    Dear Friends!

    Its SATA Cable problem!

SATA 1.5Gb/s cables and SATA 3.0Gb/s cables are really different? means if I use from a generic old SATA cable on my SATA II HDD then really I will have half of bandwidth or its just marketing?!

I should buy new cables?!! I want the Max possible speed on my SATA II HDDs

I searched around the web but no one with clear answer! some ppls says they have difference some ppls says no! any official story about this issue?

PS : I know SATA cables are in "I" and "L" types for both of 1.5Gb/s and 3.0Gb/s speeds but always motherboards ship with "L" type ports.

    Thanks in advance ...
