anyone know why all the retailers are removing bloodrage from their websites? www.newegg.com seems to have removed bloodrage from their site as well as ewiz. those were the only two retailers that were carrying bloodrage. Sort of odd to me.

They put the bloodrage back on Newegg and guess what??? they raised the price!!!!! I guess they know they're selling well and figure might as well make the best of a supply demand situation.

Heh, I got one at Newegg for $299 on Saturday. I'd been refreshing the page fairly often for a few days and it finally came up as in stock, so I grabbed one. Was out of stock right after I ordered.

I'm not sure if that's what it is right now based upon what i've seen from G16. The BIOS engineers realized they could make adjustments via BIOS on the saftey thresholds for rail ramp up time on the higher power PSU's.

I checked out my PCP 1200w on G16 and found it booted perfectly every time (for me at least).

On a sidenote, I purchased a new OEM 920 CPU from OCUK today, off the shelf purchased as a user and left in the hands of the overclocking gods to see what I got. My old CPU that struggled to get anything over 200BCLK with less than 1.54VTT on 2 different boards here is from a 3838 prefix batch. This 'newer' CPU is from the 3835 roll-out and absolutley urinates all over the other CPU. 210 BCLK X 19X 2:8 didvider is priming 8 threads on only 1.21VTT. The disparity in what these IMC's can do from batch to batch is incredible. We have a feeling the earlier 920's were nothing more than neutered 965's. While that may still be the virtual case on the 3838 and later batches in some numbers, fabrication is obviously in full swing now and there are likely far more lower QPI freq capable 920's out in the wild.

I'll check this chip out against my old on the Blood Rage as soon as I can.

    regards
    Raja

That's good news on the chip side of things. Unfortunately G16 did not solve any of my boot issues and it looks like rma time. I've tried 3 different psu's and 3 kits of memory and when I turn the psu off, it will not boot nor will it load any oc profiles. If I turn the board off with the onboard switch, it boots fine. I am not a hardware engineer but this looks like a board power issue to me.

I bought mine last Friday but they're sold out now.
I guess i was just lucky they were in stock while i was looking.

Re: the guy that got shafted by UPS.... I have had a few billing and shipping issues with newegg and so i try to use amazon instead whenever possible. I have Prime through a friend that works there so the free 2-day shipping makes it worthwhile.

When it comes to returns i think they pretty much accept anything back for credit as long as its within 30 days. My flatmate just last week returned an EVGA 790i Ultra as defective and accidentally forgot to put half the mobo accessories back in the box and they still accepted the return.

Well eWiz has the bloodrage back in stock as of right now again at 265.98. I did order mine back on the 8th but since I was a new customer and purchasing over 500$ (also got a Core I7) I had to call back about the order. The first time I missed the voice mail on my phone and by time I did call back they were sold out. Which really pissed me off but at least now its shipped. So does happy dance.

Officially shipped? I ordered last Friday, and every few days an extra line or two gets added to the invoice status. At this point, it's "In Warehouse", whatever that means. Sigh.

I ordered one at Newegg for $309.99 till I saw the link for eWiz. It's over $40 cheaper at eWiz so I cancelled my Newegg order!

Anyone have any info about the new "GTI" flavor of this board? I wonder what it's price tag will be in comparison?

I just kinda glanced over it, but I didn't really see anything different. Maybe the board is arranged different or something. Who knows since there is only one bad pic of the board. Maybe Saaya will shed some light on it for us.

I think the difference is mainly on the cooling front (IOH cooling options), plus you don't get the SAS ports. So it's a welcome reduction in price if those elements don't mean much to you.

At least you guys have some over there, we're still waiting in the UK!!

I had a conversation with HPM yesterday and they told me that they shall have them in stock in late January or in the first week of Feb.
Hope they get some this week, 'cause I have two really impatient friends that want to buy one.
