    Project Extreme Overkill (Version 2)

Well my original project (Project Crazyness) has served its purpose and is ready for a rebuild.

The original project consisted of the following:
    MM Ascension
    Core i7 920
    12GB G.Skill DDR3
    Two 4870 X2's w. EK fullcover blocks
    EK Supreme CPU block
    Corsair HX1000
    Adaptec 51245 RAID Card
    Four Seagate 7200.11 1TB drives
    Four Fujitsu MAX3147RC
    Four OCZ 30GB Vertex SSD's

I have 2 PA120.3 with medium speeds yates in a push/pull config and all controlled by a Sunbeam Rhoebus Extreme. The CPU and GPU were each in their own loops with a D5 Vario pump. This thing has been running 24/7 four over a year and a half so it is ready for an upgrade.

    I am adding the following:
    MM Ascension Extension kit
    EVGA SR-2 Motherboard
Another 360mm radiator for the MB
    Two Xeon e5520 CPU's
Another pump (undecided, would only be for the MB)
    Possibly another power supply
    Two EK Supreme HF blocks

All of this should give me one beast of a computer

I will post pics once the extension kit comes in and I start taking apart the old computer.

I really don't do too much GPU heavy work. I might upgrade later but right now have no need.

The only game I play is Flight Simulator X and it is all CPU.

    UPDATE

OK, so I ordered some part today and hopefully they will be here soon.

I ordered the two Xeon e5620 CPU's from Amazon

From Mountain Mods I ordered the following:
    Ascension Extension Kit
    Ascension 10 PCI back plate
Mountain Mods EVGA SR-2 MB Tray

I will start taking pics once the parts start arriving and I tear down my old system. It is going to be disgusting inside. I haven't opened the case or flushed the system since November 2008. It has had Feser One UV dye in it so that should be pretty nasty by the point.

ok, today I got the case assembled. this thing is HUGE.

I noticed some interesting things when I took my old case apart. The GPU loop had no gunk in it at all. I was using Feser One UV green fluid for a year and a half without touching it. All the tubes were still clear also. The CPU loop was a different story however. The tubes were so cloudy they were white. Also, it seemed like the fluid had broken down and gotten burned. I found this odd since only the CPU loop since they were the same fluid put in at the same time.

Other than that nothing too strange. I will get picks up as soon as I can.

The only things I need to finish this build are not released yet do I am not sure when it will be done. I am waiting on the following:
    EVGA SR-2 Motherboard
    Intel Xeon 5620 Processor
