    laptop 800 to 900€

    I want to buy a notebook. I never had one so I don't know how things are about laptops.

    I am a computer engineer and I need to run programs like pspice, autocad etc...
    I also want to install Linux and windows xp, i say that because i have heard that there are laptops which only have windows vista and you cannot install any other OS.

    Dell E6400. I saw some models on this price. Or some decent Dell Lattitude D630. Alway buy with docking station, quality mouse (logitech G5 or even old MX5xx) and try to buy some big DVI LCD.

    be focused on GPU / Nvidia is IMHO better / take Quadro
    4GB memory
