Anybody use the danger den air box or torture rack??

I'll be modding a case which looks like.. the Danger Den Air Box.. but I'll use 120mm fan.. just like the Danger Den Torture rack..

I'm a long way from danger den and I can't order from them.. so i'll be building it..

I'm on open bench now.. but my setup occupy my desk.. hehehehe the wife wants a clean surrounding..

is the acrylic material ok for long time use??
i'll be using Tuniq Tower for my setup..

I think I'll setup the 120 mm fan to have a pass thru effect..

pics of the danger den air box..

    the danger den torture rack

if you have a better design.. feel free to post your pics or describe it..

    thanks all

    hehehe..

my idea is to have 120mm fan.. and the hardisk is beside the cdrom..

    some sketch

I will have an allowance of 2" or even 2.5" for the board on all sides.. for big heatsinks.

for my setup i'll be using toniq tower on the RD600 board..

My last 2 projects have both been in the same layout style as you are contemplating. As you can see, I've got my own spin on this style, but it can stimulate your thoughts. Plastic is fine structually, as long as you use plastic thicker than 1/4in. As you can see, I prefer metal framing, but that's just me. If you haven't worked with plastic much, practice practice practice and read captainslug's plastic sticky at the ocforums.

I'd get one of those monster 250mm fans from frozencpu and use that in place of the 4 120mm fans

what i find very apealing in this torture rack desing is that it whould not be too hard to make a clone of it. i've been thinking for quite a while now that how cool it whould be to build something like that. only bad think that i can think of having something like that is the dust getting all over my hardware, not much of a cleaning person, actually hate cleaning more that anything.... i kid you not

The Waterbox plus case is made by Danger Den. I had them custom cut my buddy's nickname into the case (the case was my xmas present to him).

Why dont you try the Lubic system? You can easily put some acrylics on that and do a good job.

DarthBeavis always has the UBer builds!!! They remind of scantly clad hot girls washing lamborghinis. Very nice indeed.
