@jonspd - Could you post the information about your cpu? I just need your stepping and get a picture of prime when you can. I just started the tables in excel so your data is the guinea pig since you were the first post to have your overclock in it.

Edit: The list of just jonspd is linked in a word document right now. I will convert it over to an image file after I get more results. It will be in the same format as the word document, just as a picture file so you don't have to download it.

man you mean I gotta take this thing back apart

I hate having to remove perfectly working things... sure as soon as my evga 280 FTW get's here I will post up what info I got on the stepping.

and seeing as I have to reapply the AS5 then I guess I will run p95 for 12 to get it to set in quicker.

Its less work than I'll be doing when I get all my parts in. Building the system will be the easy part. I also have to cut a hole out of my case for the vapo tube to go through. Nobody sells the premade cases from lian-li to go with the vapos anymore so I gotta do it myself. Not sure if I feel like buying the new version of the chill control yet, would be pretty helpful.

So no one else feels like posting their overclocks yet? You guys need to give me something to do before I get bored...
Not much to say right now.

Seem's the write has gotten alot better...Can't wait to see what it can do overclocked.

Huh the "review" shows the read not being that good till 3.7 with 2.2 htt/nb

Stock memory write only 6,276 mhz.

    Stock memory copy 9,200.

So all of those scores are lower than yours, would os make those big of differences some how?

I would think their 1200mhz ddr2 memory would be faster.

not exactly. there are no applications that currently run 100% cpu usage on every part of the cpu for at least 8 hours straight. most people can have computers that aren't even 1 hour prime stable and they have no problem with it at all. stable to me is if you can run every single application you use without ever having an error. not putting so much power through your mosfets that they might explode when in any other real situation it wouldn't happen.

is 2 years prime the final decision?

Under Vista 64 there, also I am running the ram UNganged...If I ran them Ganged my scores would be higher, there ram should be better at 1200, mine is just stock...Where is this review Id like to take a look at it

I can't wait to hear your take on the score differences.

Comparing your oc cinebench stock htt to theirs is just ridiculous...12,142 vs. 15,343

    (just kidding ^^)

as for the stable OC debate, on my previous E6600 2,4 @3,2 30 minutes of prime95 blend tests kept me free from errors or blue screens for more then two years as o gamer (8 or 10 hours sessions quite oftenn, 6 hours usual) in a part of the world where 30°+ in summer is quite usual

i'd say 30minutes is enough in most of the cases

Been there, done that... on a couple of occations.
    With Netburst CPU's/rigs.

These "stability-tests" don't really say that much about your CPU, being PhenomI/II (or Preslers for that matter).
It says more about the *huge* amounts of current (Amps x V) that the poor vrms/Mosfets must take without melting/damaging the PCB/traces.

I opt for 1hour OCCT as "stable clock".

We do not want to burn our boards/test "board-clocks" do we?

Regarding PHII/45nm I expect this to be a lesser problem as it is/was for first gen Agena (125w+++ models).

Speaking of boards for OC'ing PHII, will DFI LANPARTY JR 790GX-M2RS be a good choise?

+1 thank you. thats the only concern i ever have about running prime for long periods.

also i have never used OCCT before but i have had it dled for a long time . if people think a one hour test would be better than an 8 hour prime then that sounds good to me.

I'm impressed 2.8ghz on an AM2+ board for NB.

so it looks like Am3 will give a slight a boost for HT3.1 clocks and also maybe we'll see some Nb close or equal to core speed.
