K, Voltage/clock scaling is a bit off but at least I ain't hitting a wall regarding clocks.

I just passed 5 runs of Intelburntest @ 3.77Ghz. I needed +0.15V for that though.

    Right now my OC is as following;

    3.77Ghz CPU, 2.03Ghz NB/HT, DDR1160
1.488Vcore (CPU-Z idle reading), 1.2Vnb (might not even be needed but to be sure) and 2.16Vdimm (might eventually be able to lower that to 2.14?).

Full load under Intelburntest was ~47C Next attempt will be a HTT of 292, this will result in 3.796Ghz CPU, 2.056Ghz NB/HT and DDR1168. From there Ill start trying to OC the NB even more but Ill leave the CPU alone now I guess. Im more than happy right now

PS, this is all in Vista x64

so it appears that it is not very hard for the nb to reach 3ghz. its more of a problem for the hyper transport. can most people here hit 3ghz northbridge with the ht at stock or any other value?

Nope, actually Im not even happy with the way I applied AS5 on it, really done stupidly. Im even wondering if the whole IHS/heat sink base are covered with AS5

I just finished a 8 run Intelburntest with the CPU at 3796Mhz! Only 1.488Vcore reading from CPU-Z (at idle, it drops a bit under load). RAM seems to be stable as well at DDR1168 which is of course awesome. Next thing Ill try is to get the NB at a multiplier of 8 (2336Mhz) or even 9 (2628Mhz).

Then a bit of timing tweaking on the RAM and Im ready to rock.

Only have to upgrade firmware on my RAID card since I got the BSOD 'non-ACPI compliant' At least, I hope a firmware updte will solve it. Then get the HDD's back in RAID 0, re-install everything and rock on!

Dose it drop .016v under load? I thought it was bios or motherboard, but kept telling myself psu.

this thing is a beast. 2.6GHZ nb looks good. will need to sort some heat issues out before pushing on with the cpu clock (it has more room left in it). dont feel comfy giving the NB much more juice then this for higher clocks on that, but we'll see...

cpu reminds me of the old athlon xp barton mobile days. the fun of OC'ing just came back to life

Ok guys, there's some benchmarks at higher speeds. I tried for higher but its a no go, maybe with another bios I could get 4.5ghz working, but not today. Got me a few extra points on the bot though, 3rd in both 32m and pifast now.
Not much to say right now.

    Is that 1600ht accurate?

AT the moment I'm just playing about with overclocking, the HT frequency option in the DFI fxb-m2rsh board doesn't seem to be altering anything unless cpu-z isn't reporting it in windows 7 64bit. Though its tracking nb speed and core clock fine at the moment. Is there any trick to changing the ht frequency without raising the bus, some option in the bios that needs to be set?

3.6Ghz was a breeze but 3.8Ghz would get iffy getting into windows, mostly not making it. Is it still the case you really need the HT at over half your core speed and equal to or less than northbridge clock?

Ya, it automatically drops it in bios when I set the NB above 2600mhz. I get tired of opening AOD to set it. I can't boot if I take HT off of auto in the bios for some reason, regaurdless of settings.

    @ Raiderman,
Thanks man. Windows 7 seems to be real stable

My older DFI 790FX is doing the same thing, It's not actually clocking the HTT unless I change the HT clock, it seems to be locked in at 1800mhz.
