OMG those D0 are overclockable as hell !!!

with my C0 I was able to only reach 36xx MHz with Air and voltage of 1.35v !
    I replaced it yesterday with a D0 and reached 3800 with 1.23v !!
Today I'll try 4GHz with my cooler master V8 and see if it needs a slight bump in voltage!

I'll keep you updated regarding this Batch# 3923A367

And I really need to get a water cooling system !!

Welcome to the elite club of the D0 i7's

I used to run my C0 at 3.8 GHz 1.32v for daily usage. I put in my new D0 and with the same settings I was able to do 4.4 GHz. Just figure

Wish I was as lucky as you Patty, mine went to 4.0 and it's pretty much stuck there, not a good batch
    System 1 (mine):
CPU: i7 920 D0 stable at 4.0 GHz cooled by Scythe Mugen 2000
    GPU: PowerColor HD5850 (950/1250 1.2V)
    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 Memory: 6GB DDR3 GeiL @ 1528 MHz
    System 2 (gf's):
CPU: i7 920 D0 currently at 4.2 GHz cooled by Noctua NH-D14 (needs more tweaking/testing)
    GPU: Club3D HD5850 (awaiting OC)
    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R Memory: 6GB DDR3 Corsair @ 1600 MHz

I think I'm done 4.6Ghz is my max, can't break the 220BCLK wall . 4.2Ghz@1.39V OCCT stable ain't bad I guess, I think I could lower a little bit more since 1.39V is my first start to run OCCT.

CPU: Core i7-2600K@4.8Ghz Mobo: Asus Sabertooth P67 Case: Corsair 700D w/ 800D window
    CPU Cooler:
    Corsair H70 w/ 2 GTs AP-15 GPU: 2xGigabyte GTX 670 WindForce OC SLI
RAM: 2x8GB G.Skill Ripjaws PSU: Corsair AX850W Sound card: Asus Xonar DX + Fiio E9
    HDD:
    Crucial M4 128GB + 4TB HDD Display: 3x30" Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP-HC

Sweet, I'm currently testing it at 4.0 with 2 hours of OCCT, if everything is OK I'll try to lower the voltage a little then run another 2 hours of OCCT, if everything is OK I'll try to raise the speed a little and so on until I'm satisfied ( and I am not as it turned out I’m a greedy OCer ) I'll run 8 hours of Prime 95 !

By the way, I would love to get a water cooling system soon, may you please state your equipments?

    Thank you for radaja
It puts it again for Salamndar

My CPU was able to turn Prime 95 for nine hours or more

Will you go out the great result when "PCI-E(102)" and "CPU Clock Skew" and "IOH Clock Skew" are reviewed ???

Nice chip you got there, but I think the temps are too high at that voltage.

Hmm, I'm able to complete 2 hours of OCCT with 1.26v @ 4.0GB, does QPI PPL and QPI/DDR voltage have that effect on core temperature?

4.6 GHz is not bad, once I get mine back on water I'm shooting for more. I did 4.5 Ghz clocking in windows without raising voltages, @ 1.352v (old setting for my C0 @ 3.8 Ghz). It should be fun trying to see how much higher I can go.

Watercooling IMO is a must on i7. Here is a thread to my components.

    thanks
tbh mate, i am quite happy with 30mins linx (10 passes) for stability. if i happen to run into any instability in the future i will retweak voltages and stress test again.
i could shoot for 4500 but temps are going to 88-89 degrees with linx and 1.35-1.36 volts (single fan, and some dust between the ultra 120 fins that i cba to clean entirely)

although i dont think its worth spending around 300 pounds for getting a good custom w/c setup for 10 celcius and another 200 mhz. around the same costs a phase change setup, but then there is the problem with high bclk (needs a 950 or 3540 )

Hmm and since the weather is getting nice and cool...I hope that pesky thing will survive this winter breathing air... perhaps coming summer I will drown it with water

imo, thats a nice OC for air cooling. The Prolimatech Megahalem was the heatsink I was thinking about. Can you tell me a little more about how you have your voltages setup? Is 4.5Ghz your 24/7 OC and what temps do you get?

Wrote batch number down at home, forgot to bring it to work
I will also get some screenshots when I get home.
Specs are below, not bad with a stock cooler!!
Trying to decide if I want to screw with water again or just go with a good air cooling setup. I have a MCP-600 and MCP-650 pump, a Dangerden and Weapon heater core both with shrouds and about 10 Sanyo Denki San Ace fans (all from my old setup). I just bought a Apogee GTZ but have yet to even open it.

Tried 185X21 with 1.2125vcore and 1.25625 vcore and it errors out on LinX in about 30minutes. Kept other voltages below the same. Probably getting too hot!!!

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Ed

I have one question. I have the Core i7 920 D0 CPU, but the thing is that Core 1 (in CoreTemp) is always 10°C hotter than other 3 cores.
At low heat levels the difference is smaller, but when the heat is reaching 84°C on other cores, Core 1 is jumping up at 94°C.
Is this CPU good for RMA or they won't accept it for RMA just becaue of this? It's annoying because Core 1 is constantly heating way too much where other cores are still withing acceptable levels.

Well I posted about this chip a few months ago and after a few more months of messing around with this thing here is what I have finally settled on.
    (For now! )

    CPU Voltage - 1.3500
    QPI Voltage - 1.3750
    CPU PLL Voltage - 1.82

You know I honestly can't say why I put that to 1.82. I will set it to 1.8 and try it out.
