    E8600-Rampage Extreme 1M results (so close...)

    So close to sub 7s it is killing me

    Test Setup

    E8600 820A599 CB@-145 boot @ 6.45GHz @2v
    Cellshock PC14400 2x1GB kit @2.15v
    Rampage Extreme X48
    His 4870x2
    OCZ 800w PSU
    Otti "toe crusher" pot



    1M

    I am going to give it another go this week.........I know I can eek out another .001 second out of it

    Did you notice SF3D's run uploaded yesterday? Same clocks + setup (except tRP=6/ tRAS=18) but 6.984s.
    The Initial value finished

    two things i would try if i were you

    a different GFX card >> nvidia based

    also very small maxmem value

    worth a try unless you already have heh

    That's a diagnostic board, tells you the status of your boot cycle amongst other info why your board won't or will post.

    yeah I saw that. Need to use a fresh install. This was actually the benching OS that I had used for 3D.

    Need to try with a Nvidia card. Did not have time to test as the whole bench session was just over an hour with what I swear took 20 of it just to cool down this pot.

    As soon as I can make a Ln2 run later this week I will do it proper.
