    4830 Overclocking limit help

I just received a pair of Powercolor HD4830 cards and am having trouble clocking them past 719MHz on the core. Under XP 32 ATI tool crashes as soon as I try to click on it, ati tray tools reboots the machine when I apply clocks. CCC Overdrive stops at 700.

Rivatuner lets me clock the card to 719 then stops (see image). AMD GPU Tool reads clocks correctly but can't apply clocks, even lower ones. The core is furmark stable with the fan on auto so I'd love to be able to bump it up some more.

I've heard you can flash a 4850 bios to a 4830, any chance that would help? I'd prefer to avoid bios flashing if possible.

    Any help is appreciated

2D\3D voltage issues maybe? Try using RBE to adjust 2D and 3D voltages.

I have the same card and it works great with the latest beta ati tray tools, so I don't believe its a problem with the application. Mine reaches around 775mhz but seems unstable when going from load to idle so the card shouldn't have any block of any sorts per max o/c.

ATI Tool worked but did not give me any readings.

Wish I could give you a solution but I hope this helps through deduction.

    Cheers,

No sure, avent seen much in way of reviews for the card. I'd say closer to a heavily OCd GTX260 core 216 tho.
