Talking Intel Pentium E5400 - next best low budget think @ 5510MHz

The name of new CPU is E5400 and tihs is short spec: 2.7 GHz, 2 MB cache, 13.5 Multiplier. The NDA is finis at 18.janur, and after that I will post pic of 24/7 stability (more than 4.1 GHz at air is not problem, but no more information ). Now you can see fast SS test, and just for fan I will try LN2 before the NJ.

And the most important is that price of this model processor should be about 60euro

    Setup:
    CPU: Intel Pentium E5400 (1.65V)
MB: GIGABYTE P45 MB: GIGABYTE P45
MEM: OCZ 1600 MHz MEM: OCZ 1600 MHz
Spacemaster SS Rotary: -60C Spacemaster SS Rotary-60C

    Images of isolation and setup

    5510 MHz

Aren't these supposed to be 333x8 @ stock? If 13.5x200 then that's a really nice deal for overclockers. You sure it's not only your ES that has up to 13.5x multi available?

Luckily there's many P35 and P45 boards that allow higher than 500x8 but for 24/7 usage going above 500x8 is still becoming quite stressful for most boards, so a higher multi would definitely come handy.

This is the Pentium CPU, so stock FSB is 200MHz you can do rest of the math

Since this is a budget CPU and could fit well for budget setups, have you tried how far it clocks at 1.35~1.4v on air since budget users would most likely use aircooling.

Yes, but I can not say to much, it just work over 4.1GHz at air 24/7 , with voltage lower than 1.3 V I will complet the test for my site, son

I think the 12.5x E5200 is regularly taken 3.5-4Ghz on air or water. It is a 45nm low speed setup, but apparently no different from its E7xxx and E8xxx cousins. The quad equivalent is an E8200 becoming an E8300, but those are hampered by low multipliers on a fast bus.

    BTW, the E5200 is $83.

    Awesome result
FSB-Wall or max. clock considering the cooling-solution?
I don't want to be hasty, but E5400 could be a very nice CPU for suicide shots (CPU-Z).

I starting to like these E5xxx, was a review of the E5200...that one have a multi on 12,5. And that one did go to 3,6 on stock so it seems that we have some funny cpus to oc now

Spacemaster: Nice oc there what temps do you get with that phase?
By the way, nice mobo you got there

    Thanks!

    SSS rotary = -60C

All E5200 have M0 stepping, bull all E5400 will have new R0 stepping, so the OC with new E5400 must be better. I say 3.8-4.1 GHz with “OK” air cooling is possible

What I'd really like to see, was a comparison between the E5400 on air @ 4GHZ or so, vs. C2D's like E72-7400's, E8400's and so forth.

Can someone produce this, or the likes? Wondering if it would net me some decent performance at 4GHZ or so over my E2180 at 3.3GHZ.

New Pentium E5400 have 2MB L2 Cache memory, it is wolfdale base CPU, ant at 4GHz is much faster than E2180 at 3.3GHz
